When they go to Daytona, they don't play. When they go to Iowa, they die. The only answer is to keep all relevant prospects at Tennessee. But in all serious, I have to wonder how much of it has to do with Iowa's coaching. Baez, Alcantara, Villanueva, Szczur, Vitters, and Jackson, we have 6 relevant prospects who are struggling far to much for it to be a coincidence. I want Perry. Do you honestly believe Gerald Perry would have a significant effect on anyone in Iowa's lineup? Von Joshua would -

He signged like 8-9 months after his defection IIRC -
It was impossible to have sustained success because they drafted really poorly under him which is so dumbfounding when you consider he was a freakin farm director It doesn't take abandoning all hope of competitiveness for 3 years to not draft like a [expletive] moron. Regarding next year, I can't see it happening without Baez and Bryant playing key roles, and I firmly believe they will not see the bigs until we've sucked another pre-FA year out of them meaning we have no intention of competing next season. They drafted poorly, developed poorly, and changed their mind on what type of organization they wanted to build every 6 months. Hendry made a lot of good trades/signings, but his hit rate wasn't high enough to make up for the things he did poorly. As for next year, I think enough good/decent prospects will be ready to contribute that they'll make a couple big signings. Adding a couple good hitters to the hitters that are already good, adding an additional SP, and adding Vizcaino and Rivero to the bullpen, I think we'll be playing meaningful games in Sept. If next year is like this year, or only slightly better, I'll admit that I'm a gullible idiot. ADMIT IT NOW

My mother, who is bizarrely biased against the idea of players in US pro sports who aren't American, was VERY disappointed to find out that someone with the wholesome all-American name of "Junior Lake" is actually a filthy foreigner. This has to tie in hugely to your baseball reverse racism Definitely. Though her favorite Cub is Billy Williams and she thinks Sandberg is a creep, so she's pretty cool. I bet.
