  1. What should they do to you if you give up a triple to present day Nate Schierholtz?
  2. exactly. For all the rebuild talk they are getting very good numbers from players who were already there. I am not arguing with their off-season moves, but it is not like those moves are the main reason the Sox are around .500 The Cubs are getting very good numbers from players who were already here too. The problem is the cubs have added negative WAR in position players thus far(and that's including 0.9 from Bonifacio), and the White Sox have added 2.1, and that's strtictly from players in their prime.
  3. Yeah and the black knight just had a flesh wound.
  4. They're all going to wind up with it by time they're 25 anyway. That's why Hoffman won't slip past any number of [expletive] picks separating the 1st round from the 2nd.
  5. Apparently Raisin wants Zastryszny to die.
  6. We played the Celebrity Party game at Thanksgiving one year, one of my submissions was Larry Hagman, and then he died the next day.
  7. Low attendance was 20,696 last year. They may have upped the season ticket base, but knowing how long they hounded me to re-up after the deadline, and seeing multiple people on here get hounded in the same way(even after turning them down in 2013) makes me think the base is less than 20K ETA: For weekday games at least. Nights and Weekends could easily be 20K+
  8. Looks like he borrowed Laurens's helmet
  9. [expletive] can't let us have more than a half inning of hope
  10. I wonder if Colvin would be our best OF this season Colvin is tied with me for 3rd most valuable OF by rWAR
  11. Olt hits an 86 mph fastball out, and now I'm going to have to deal with him for another 3 weeks aren't I
  12. I wonder if Colvin would be our best OF this season
  13. I gotta figure they want him to cut down the K a bit more before he gets promoted. ya, no. He's destroying AA pitching, why would they want him to change his approach? Look as long as he'd playing good defense in CF and OPSing close to .900 why mess with success? Because he's just like Brett [expletive] Jackson? Who hit .260 in AA. Is he just like Brett [expletive] Jackson who hit .297 his first 185 AAA ABs at the same age as Bryant? Nevermind that I'm not saying they're equivalent prospects but it's silly to say who cares what his K rate is, look at the pretty numbers only!! Especially when there's not exactly a playoff race we're anxious to get him ready for.

  15. They traded their closer for a 3B prospect, signed Abreu, and traded a SP w/ 4 years of team control for an OF w/ 5 years of team control. My biggest complaint with Theo and Jed is that they haven't done more in the trading market, but is there really a chasm here? For this past offseason? Certainly. We sat around waiting on a guy we figured we weren't going to sign and then shrugged our shoulders and said oh well.
  16. The White Sox had the farm system in place pre-Hahn that everyone tries to pretend we did pre-Theo/Jed. With the same number of OMG Albatross contracts to boot.
