Why? Their infield is young, and they can apparently conjure league average OFers out of thin air. mostly the giant forks hanging out of Matt Cain & Tim Lincecum...and does Panda stay? what's the rotation going to look like the next few years? all their top arms in the minors took pretty big steps back this season That fork has been in Lincecum for their last 2 titles. Cain was barely mediocre this year, and was probably pitching through elbow pain. I have no gauge on what Sandoval does as I haven't really paid attention to guys that won't concern the Cubs, but the Giants have shown a willingness to spend money, so I'd expect them to sign a fairly decent sized name this offseason either to bolster the rotation or replace Panda
