  1. I hate those Comcast commercials. Not with the burning hatred of those Bud Light commercials. But yeah, hate.
  2. Could Rickie Weeks start fielding like Rickie Weeks this game? I dunno like kicking that ball off Ryan Braun's head, only to pick it up and inexplicably throw it into the CF bleachers?
  3. Parra threw 59 pitches. He's had injury problems throughout his minor league career, and I'm not sure he's really stretched out enough to be a starter yet.
  4. Um, so I just nailed Lilly's pitch count on the head. Good sign? And he might have to stay out there depending on the offensive situation.
  5. Braun should be out after making contact with what is considered a ball in play. I'm not so sure the home plate ump didn't call him out, but he may have gone to the Doug Eddings school of umping and just made up the call once he saw the outcome of the play.
  6. So we were just gonna ignore that Braun kicked the ball away from Kendall there??
  7. I've said it before but I've never seen lefties suck more at holding runners than our lefties. And Corey Hart's "great catch" of Theriot's wasn't a great catch at all. He broke in then had to recover Edmonds style.
  8. I bet Lance Berkman cares about having to come to Wrigley.
  9. Parra just isn't going to bother with Ramirez. Smart move.
  10. People who like Umphrey's McGee annoy me. Notable exceptions That hot girl at work who may no longer work there (??? :( ) and now Bob Brenly.
  11. AL pitcher who doesn't have much practice with bunts? You idiot, every pitcher is born with the ability to lay perfect bunts if they just practice! Newsflash, bunts are hard to get down for most position players, guys who have been batting their entire professional careers. Pitchers are noticably worse. It's not excusing them, just saying it's not as simple as stick the bat out and get it down when a guy's throwing 90mph with movement.
  12. Mark DeRosa cannot read a batted ball while running the bases.
  13. A Cards fan, and a friend of TT. What else are you, a nazi?
  14. Soriano really wasn't too bad in CF. He would've been fine out there if they woulda just left him there. Just like he'd be fine in the 5 spot if they'd just leave him here. But if this stupid team doesn't get results after 2 games it's time to go back to that which worked before.* (Complete generalization because I know Lou's actually done alright with this, but he seems to brainfart every now and then and go back to the old reliables like this with Soriano and playing anybody but Matt Murton.)
  15. Rapada probably could've developed into what Ohman was when he was on. I really wanted him up come 9/1, that's the only reason I'm annoyed with the move. Anything in return for Coats is gravy. Considering the rumors going around I guess Hart gets rostered come September?
  16. I'd be really surprised if Spezio was back this year.
  17. Naturally, I can't find the quote anywhere, but I definitely recall reading that Soriano prefers leading off because he sees more fastballs there. I'm working now, so don't have time to search for it, but I recall Soriano saying he'd play any position and hit anywhere in the order to help the team.
