    They'd be 2 back in the loss column, and pretty well boned considering they have no off days and how strong their schedule is. I just don't see them losing to that completely destroyed Cardinals lineup though. :cry: They'd be 1 back in the loss column. They're tied in it now.

    It's not the first time Yost has been burned by that. He took out Braun in a game earlier this year up, they blew the lead and Braun wasn't there to hit with the game on the line.

That's 9 right there, without taking into account the poor teams not wanting another big spender in the game. I think it's going to take a significant overbid by Cuban followed by litigation by the Trib to get him approved. So, no we're not getting him :(

    Good idea, I clinched Cubs(+5) over the White Sox, and the guy was refusing to give it to me til after the season. Maybe, hopefully I can tell him to keep his money til November.

    I somehow feel partially responsible for this thread. Just a feeling. Anywho, it's a place to complain about bad decisions Piniella makes. Just like there are threads in which to complain about or praise specific players, GMs, owners, coaches, vendors, there is one about the manager. It was inspired by one particular game that I thought Piniella did a horrible job of managing.

    I like that Geo looked just annoyed at Hopper trying to knock the ball out. Swatted him like a fly. Then let the mask slide off a bit to show off his lucious locks and his chiseled face. Get this man a modeling contract or something.

    gotta love the Cardinals tanking, but I really wish it wasn't this soon. they'll have nothing to play for by the time the Brewers play them, and it would be just like LaRussa to "rest" the better players as one last 'screw you' to the Cubs and their fans before going back to the AL. I don't think TLR will do that. He won't.
