  1. And I assume this is per/162 or per/150, or whichever full season # is applied? Otherwise some of these guys are even better/worse than their #s.(Gutierrez, Owens, Braun)
  2. Pujols never should've moved off of 3B. I assume this is UZR?
  3. You really didn't understand what he was saiyng though IMB. He was saying good thing PSU plays MSU at the end of the year because they always suck by then and it'll be an easy win. He was saying they play their best game of the year against UM every year.
  4. 2 shots at the 2 pointer not enough for ND. That was pretty clearly not a penalty.
  5. What in the hell was that? Each coach has money on the opposing team. I'm half expecting Navy to take a knee here on 4th down.
  6. Wrong, 48-21 ;) Beat me to it.
  7. INT by KU with 2 minutes left. There's pretty much no doubt they take 49-21 at the half right?
  8. 35-21 KU and driving. With 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. I really wish I had BTN.
  9. Peralta's not a better defender than Tejada. He's pretty bad out there. Though I'm still a pretty big fan of his.
  10. Loria is history's greatest monster. I'd be really angry if he got A-Rod. He doesn't deserve anything but the hot poker up his ass that satan has waiting for him.
  11. I did. I wanted Aldridge in the worst way possible. Yeah, I was just being a jerk because I rabidly endorsed Aldridge while being mildly anti-Thomas from the time the tourney ended through the draft. I'm sure some people from the Draft thread can vouch for my madness. Mark_R was a huge Aldridge guy too, right? I believe he was. The consensus seemed to favor Thomas or Roy.
  12. Cause when you "get drunk and hurt yourself", you "get drunk and hurt yourself."
  13. I did. I wanted Aldridge in the worst way possible. Yeah, I was just being a jerk because I rabidly endorsed Aldridge while being mildly anti-Thomas from the time the tourney ended through the draft. I'm sure some people from the Draft thread can vouch for my madness.
  14. Wasn't Aldridge pretty injury prone in college? Texas really dominated OU while he was there, so I pretty much blacked out most of what happened in those years. Only played 2 years. Missed half his freshman year with a hip injury.
  15. If only somebody could've seen Aldridge as a better pick than Thomas before the draft...
  16. As I said, it's subject to persuasion. I've had a hard time finding negro league stats online(other than what the BR bullpen has to offer), and really don't have the first clue how to translate them. I'm not too willing to give him any extra credit for extra years at the end considering the decline he seemed to be in. I could see an extra few years worth added on to the beginning of his career moving him up a few spots, but I'm pretty skeptical about his viability in the majors in his teens.
  17. Does that make him any less worthless. Lenny Harris ended up owning us too. Lenny Harris didn't do crap against us. He only owned us in the sense that we had a manager who was more afraid to face him than Mike Lowell. Having a manger with dog feces for brains owned us, not Lenny Harris.
  18. We would also need a daily thread on how great Curt Shilling is. Curt could start it.
  19. I need to hear the arguments for Campanella. Is it defensive related? Is there additional credit for starting late due to his race? The career's just too short for me to have him higher.
  20. It sounds weird to say, but I think Hinrich is underrated because he's white. Which is pretty much 99% of the time the other way around.
  21. I think it was the other way around. In which case LOL@ The Cardinals.
  22. Bench Berra Fisk Rodriguez Dickey Hartnett Carter Piazza Campanella Cochrane Subject to persuasion. I think Dickey's being shamefully underrepresented. Consider his missed time due to the war as well.
  23. Hundley didn't play long enough or hit well enough to enter the conversation.
  24. Leo Gomez is one of those guys that stat-wise was a lot better than I thought he was when I was younger. The distribution of our SP's hitting that year is pretty fun. Foster and Bullinger were good hitters regardless of what position they player, the rest had negative OPS+s Oh and Frank Castillo had 338 ABs without an extra base hit. That's gotta be some sort of record. I remember him winning some sort of nice car on a bet when he hit a HR in batting practice.
  25. if i remember correctly, it's been a mixed bag. he's nailed some of the prior injury news. he broke a pete rose re-instatement story that never happened. Shoulda clarified, I meant in terms of non-injury, hot stove type things.
