That's what makes Luis so brutal. He's terrible with young guys. He pissed and moaned as he left Arizona about the team turning to young guys, and he pissed and moaned even louder in LA DURING THE SEASON about the team melting down because a bunch of guys not ready for the show were up there. Of course those rookies were the ones hauling Luis's worthless ass to anywhere close to contention. But to be fair to Lugo, Jeff Kent was also a strong opponent of the young players. So it wasn't just Luis Gonzalez. Well everyone knows Jeff Kent is a jackass.

This makes me feel optimistic that it will happen. Rosenthal is one of the most respected baseball writers and usually is very reliable with his info. Rosenthal was on the money all last offseason. He's been terrible this year.

He is tenacious on defense. He also has teeth that would make Gary Busey jealous. I really think that E'Twaun Moore will be the type of kid who has a good frosh year then will explode by at least his junior year. That kid is oozing talent. I've been more and more impressed with both Moore and Hummel as the season has gone by. There's no question that Moore is an incredible shooter. I was really high on Martin early in the year, but he's been very inconsistent and can't seem to stay out of foul trouble. A freshman in the big ten is going to be in foul trouble if they get to play. our refs are easily the worst in america. Not IDKWTI. I don't think Tisdale, Davis, McCamey is that far off as a whole compared to McClain/Bradford. Unless you were talking about ability right now. As far as potential, I think I'll take this year's class(including Legion) over that one. Of course I'm an unabashed optimist. Still.

Not meant as a slight to Ole Miss(i'm sure it will come off as one) but is Vandy even gonna wind up a tourney team? They've got a real Clemson (of ohh pretty much every year) feel about them. Ole Miss is a better team than I originally thought. Should wind up a tourney team(10 seedish)

Ryan Braun does crazy things to the word never. Of course 4-5 wins only brings the Brewers to even with the Cubs pythag last year.

Where do you think the predictive value is coming from? I've been posting about college basketball on here for the past 3-4 years, I've been on Pomeroy's jock the whole time, I'm not just looking for something to denigrate the SEC. I'm looking for a ranking system I value.

Pomeroy actually looks at how games play out rather than generically looking at won-loss records. Pomeroyed.

Yep, 5 teams in the top 25 is "total ass". Come on, stop with the whining. Is the SEC the best conference in basketball? No way. But to call it "total ass" (as opposed to "down"- which is more accurate) is ignorant and absurd. 1 team in Pomeroy's top 25. Total Ass.
