  1. I think that's Van Dyck's speculation because of the order of the rotation for the regular season. Harden can start the 2nd to last game of the year and still pitch in game 3.
  2. I hope I lose this week so I can get Matt Cassel on waivers.
  3. Dick Stockton is so terrible. It's like he's either watching the game on tape delay or has an obstructed view seat.
  4. Please explain what it would take to be a very good team in your mind? Best offense, and 1 of the best pitching staffs in baseball isnt good enough for you? RedVerbs is actually Joe Morgan, so there aren't any good teams. Earlier this season, RedVerbs called the Cardinals the most talented of the wild card teams.
  5. Ummm, Milwaukee had to face Peavy and Young in back to back games. The Padres are the 27 Yankees next to that pathetic Reds team that we lost a series to. I'd say losing 5 of 6 to a bad Astros team and a pathetic Reds team would be melting down. Chris Young is TERRIBLE this year.
  6. Pretty sure Cubs08 is CubsGM
  7. The Notre Dame game put me to sleep. This is sad. The Michigan game is going to be painful for all involved.
  8. 81ish% and 99.3%
  9. Kicker in the 10th round, backup kicker in the 15th round (16 rounds total.)
  10. You're like old UMFan on speed. The Brewers are making the playoffs.
  11. All we have to do is split the series. The pressure is on the Brewers, they have to sweep or at worst take the series. The split is the key. The split means Milwaukee needs to beat us outright in order to win the division. It also knocks 6 games off the schedule with nothing lost. Milwaukee isn't making up 6 games in the standings over those other 16 games. Based on that, I'll say a 9-13 finish does it as long as we split with the Brewers.
  12. David, a friend of mine at work was calling it the Bon Jovi curse. Look what you hath wrought.
  13. Yeah Hoffman's pretty not too good these days.
  14. What are you talking about? Casey McGehee's been getting his chances.
  15. Gotcha. Not sure I believe that, but at least I understand now what you were saying. Everyone's allowed one crackpot theory. This is really just an extension on a more widely held belief that Loria was sent to destroy Montreal baseball. Whether that was Seligula mandated or not, Loria had no intention of making things work in Montreal.
  16. Loria was sent to destroy the Marlins franchise and in turn get them a new stadium. Failing that(back when it was on the table), they'd be there to be contracted.
  17. So what you're trying to tell me is that Will Carroll was wrong about something?
  18. Reeling? LOL, the team has lost 5 games in a row for the first time all year, yet they still have a 4.5 games lead because the brewers have also been swept, but they are reeling. Whatever. If the Cubs only go .500 this month, the Phillies can't lose 3 games! They are going to the playoffs people. Hell, the Cubs are off tonight and the onous is on the Brewers and Phillies to win because the magic number reduces if they don't. These writers tick me off. Yeah, that wasn't real.
  19. They knew what they were doing when they gave the franchise to Loria. This was exactly what was supposed to happen.
  20. There haven't been nearly enough jokes about a Giants September callup being 36 years old.(Yeah, I understand, rewarding a minor league, vet, you're out of it, and have no prospects who cares, but come on it's the Giants, how awesome is that??) DIEHARD
  21. Says Hendry in the Trib article. So, no Howry on the playoff roster then? I think he was alluding to the fact that Casey McGehee will be our starting 3B.
