  1. then block me. see if i care. You play to win in baseball. You're smart enough to recognize the difference between the two in that sport. Why not this one? Again, who actually won the game isn't as important as other things that go on in games. There's no difference between a 3 point loss and a 3 point win. A 162 game season where everyone plays everyone else(within their league) at least 6 times makes it a lot easier to compare teams and determine who is better. Florida, Penn State, and Texas have 0 common opponents on their schedule. Why should we put blind faith in stats from a 12 game sample(or as short as 3 as you did earlier this year with your %odds) in football against wildly varying opponents?
  2. My 3 game(centsports) parlay for tonight: Texas(-4) vs. Texas Tech Nebraska(+22) vs. Oklahoma Tulane(+30) vs. LSU
  3. But they didn't make the PAT. They missed it. And because of that they lost a game to a team that isn't very good. You play to win the game. Losing the game is a bad thing, no matter how it happened. And as was addressed, the fact that they were in the position to play to OT against Ole Miss is embarrassing enough already. EDIT: And Miami's worst loss of the season? Who cares? Miami plays in the ACC, the ACC sucks and so do they. Giving them a worse loss than UNC and FSU tells me nothing.
  4. Why don't the games before and including Ole Miss count?
  5. Later Hawkeyes.
  6. Oh, Vontae Davis is on the team this year?
  7. Culpepper signed to a 2 year deal by Detroit.
  8. BOOM Sure would be nice if there were 4 seconds left though.
  9. Why call the timeout with that much time left? Let it run down as much as you can.
  10. Eddie McGee sighting!
  11. I'm shocked Weis hasn't done something stupid like going for the TD.
  12. Illinois is playing like effing idiots. Again.
  13. WHAT THE [expletive] IS WRONG WITH YOU
  14. If Texas wins tonight I am becoming a Penn State fan for the rest of 2008. Am I the only one that didn't get this? He thinks Florida is a better team than Penn State, and would rather face Penn State than Florida in a national title game. If Texas loses, then he wants Penn State to lose at some point so Texas can get back in the picture.
  15. But not as much as Martez Wilson.
  16. ARE YOU KIDDING ME This secondary sucks.
  17. Don't blow it against these dirtbags. and in other new Tom Hammond gets way too excited over little things.
  18. You go ahead and think that. I hope you are being sarcastic, I really do. Which school can offer Saban the money, the power (he's got full control of the football program, Moore the AD is essentially a figurehead) the tradition that Alabama has. Schools that fit this description (USC/OU/FSU/PSU/Texas) either already have their coaches or they will have their next coach in line to succeed their current coach. And outside of those kind of schools, Nick Saban isn't going to take a step down in the coaching hierarchy, ie leaving Alabama for a school like Clemson. That would be like Mack Brown leaving Texas for Baylor. Do you see that happening? Cause if you honestly do see that happening, please pass me what your smoking cause that must be some good............ Contrary to the pubic persona that Nick has shown, Nick and his family absolutely do love it in Alabama. There are two fears that Nick has admitted to: 1: He will never return to Morgantown, WV. Why? Because even at 57 he still has fear of following his father into the coal mines. Irrational? Yes. But it what motivates the man. 2: Saban has grown tired of being label a merc (I understand why people would call him that and I understand why Saban has grown tired of it). He's not leaving Alabama anytime. Now I understand you may be pushing my bottoms on this subject, and if that's the case, kudos to you kind sir. I just don't see Saban leaving Alabama. Saban has already done the NFL thing THREE TIMES (Browns/Dolphins/Oilers) and a coach of his statute does not take a step down in the college ranks. Put it this way, Pete Carroll is more likely to leave USC then Saban is to leave Alabama. pubic persona? And I thought "pushing my bottoms" was awesome. Anyway, Saban's going to leave 'Bama for Ole Miss because they play smashmouth football.
  19. Notre Dame probably deserves to lose just for that sequence of events. Just awful.
  20. Rich Hill isn't done. There now, it's even.
  21. If Rob Dibble told me the sky was blue, I'd assume we were under some kind of nuclear holocaust and the skies had turned yellow.
  22. That's what I hope happens. I wouldn't even mind a 2 year deal at 1.5 mil per. That'll close the gap until Castillo is hopefully ready. Blanco is one of the best backup catchers in the game, I'd like to see him stick around for a little longer. Despite being an excellent backup, he's one of those backups that doesn't inspire the manager to take playing time away from the young kids, so, double bonus. There's no reason to lock up Blanco for 2 years. If you want him back for 2010, you can sign him to the same 1/1.5 deal you signed him to for '09.
  23. It's way more likely that Howry would accept than the possibility that Walker would. Cubs would be throwing away 500K for no reason. I can't imagine the scenario in which Bob Howry turns down arbitration.
  24. Let's go pre 12/7!!(or whenever it is)
  25. I do like the sound of this. Would he be the most tatted out manager ever? Until Josh Hamilton decides to start managing. WESHOULDAKEPTHIMASMANAGER
