  1. Jake Fox pissed off Lou 2 years ago over his 10 PA sample size and on top of that he's not left handed. He has no chance.
  2. I hope they keep him stretched out as a starter in Iowa so he could come up and join the rotation if somebody gets injured.Rule V stuff That Rule V guy stands no chance of sticking.
  3. Seconded. He might be interested in a back up role, but not one with a catcher like Soto in front of him. Pudge still wants to play and get AB's, thats not gonna have with Soto on the team. It's gonna be pretty hard to find a catcher better then Bako who would be willing to sign here, unless we overpaid. Thats why I still feel it would have took more then 750 K to resign Blanco. Yes he signed with the Padres for that, but he also has a much better chance to get playing time with the Padres. Pudge will probably sign with the Mets, Marlins or Astros were he will still get alot of AB's even if he isn't starting everyday. Blanco seemed to be fine with being a backup while he was with the Cubs. I'd say there's a very good chance he'd rather have stayed in Chicago where he's been the last 4 years. Not all guys want more playing time. You can't just assume that's what a player wants. If I had to guess, which is really all I can do since I'm not in the front office, I would think Hendry talked to Hank about coming back and Hank probably told Hendry that he wanted to go somewhere he would have a chance to play more often. That would make the most sense. I think Hendry misreading the market for Blanco makes the most sense. Why Blanco all of a sudden at the age of 38 decides hey, I want to get 250 ABs this year instead of the 150 I've gotten every other year the rest of my career would be peculiar.
  4. MSU: 24-6(14-4) UI: 25-6(13-5) PU: 23-8(12-6) WIS: 20-10(11-7) OSU: 21-8(11-7) PSU: 21-10(10-8) UM: 19-12(9-9) MN: 21-9(9-9) NU: 15-14(6-12) IA: 14-17(4-14) IU: 6-24(1-17)
  5. He knows if they strip Bonds he'd have to be stripped of his #2 spot.
  6. If it's a necessity, market value rules. If it's something wholly unnecessary like Aaron Miles or a hot dog, and the market value is greater than the products worth then you don't pay market value. You look elsewhere.
  7. The Cincy and St. John losses are going to kill them. Cincy because they're a fellow bubble team and the Big East isn't getting any more than 9 bids, and St. John's because they're terrible. It's okay to make the tough argument schedule as long as you beat the teams that aren't tough. Faltering against those 2 ruins ND's argument. They absolutely need to win 2 of @ WV, @ UConn, and vs. Nova all while not faltering against the cupcakes. Doing so would give them a winning record in Big East and hold their loss total to a moderate 12 after the BE tourney.
  8. Harris just ran right past 2 defenders. Pathetic defense by NU.
  9. He just heard about all the drugs that have been around the clubhouse lately, and thought he could score some premium blow.
  10. Fortunately for us Crean has been working hard for months now and we have a recruiting class coming in next season that is Top 10 at worst, maybe even Top 5. If he can get those kids to play as hard as the current group then next season will be a bit more fun to watch. RSCI isn't a huge fan, with IU coming in at 16th as of their November update. This wouldn't take into account Rivers(3 star on rivals) though, and I think the big addition for Indiana next year is depth. Being able to 9 deep without resulting to walks on who can't shoot or dribble or guys who should be redshirting is a big help.
  11. Yawn. It's a road game, Big Ten homering is brutal. Maybe they do things differently in the Patriot league, but you'd be hard pressed to find a Big Ten fan not agree that road teams get hosed. Find me the ref complaints on games in Champaign. Last game you had a Kansas and Iowa fan laughing at the homering, and this game you had an IU fan jokingly say nice tackle to his own player.
  12. Players too. There weren't a lot of hugs and butt pats on the court last year. Though there wasn't really a time winding down, game over moment.
  13. I'd imagine he's back next game.
  14. Come on random T on Illinois just for funzies.
  15. 25-4 FT disparity.
  16. Why is Brock in there? He sucks at the line.
  17. *foul on Arch*
  18. Eric Gordon chant??? Really??
  19. Taber just tackled twice in the span of 20 seconds, over the back on the board, then pushing over Tisdale on the loose ball.
  20. Come on, that was a travel on Brock.
  21. Fouls: 17-8 IU
  22. I believe the official ruling on the court was for making a basket vs. Indiana.
  23. At least he got injured. That's good news for you guys.
