    lol If you're being unbiased I don't see how you can say there was nothing wrong with what he said. He basically admitted that he sat out on days he could have played because he didn't want his numbers to take a hit because it might cost him money the next season. How is that "telling it like it is"? Shut up Milton. We're tryng to like you. Just shut up. If he's not putting up good numbers then he's hurting his team.

    Theriot needs to bat 8th. why? Because hes not that good? among regulars he led the team in both average and obp last year. if that's "not that good" then what are the rest of the players? better convincing argument. theriot is good in his own ways, and obviously has deficiencies as well. but to say that the guy who got on base more than every other player on the team last year "isn't that good" is just stupid. Ok, who do you think Theriot is a better hitter than for the 2009 season?

    I'm all for the Big Ten getting a ton of teams in the tourney, and shutting up some of these smug douchebags, but I could see the committee doing something really stupid like giving Butler a better seed than Illinois, so sorry conference pride.

    cincy lost their last three games - they got blown out at syracuse, lost at south florida and then home against seton hall. i'd guess they're just not playing well right now and that's why they won today. it'd be the greatest thing ever if depaul won the big east tourney, but the odds of that happening are like 10000 to 1.     What they've accomplished. Only reason a "how good are they" should be factored in is if it's how good are they with this player who was injured. If you sucked for 3/4 of the year because your team didn't find its groove too bad.

    I'd probably put them ahead based on h2h, but that's not saying much. I don't think much of Providence.(Though I've only got them playing once.)

    I'd agree with all those except Utah State. I think they're largely getting a raw deal, and should get credit for winning a top 10 league (about as much credit as LSU should for winning the SEC). Cincinnati maybe has a shot if they reach the BE Finals. Other than that it'd take an auto-bid to get any of those teams in, likely. Which means Green Bay, Illinois State, and Niagara would be out completely. EDIT: I'd also dump Davidson. They have really nothing to stand on other than "look at what we did last year", which isn't a committee criteria. Also, Niagara may be getting a raw deal, as their resume is about as good as St. Mary's. Not sure if that's good for Niagara or bad for St. Mary's. I hate Utah State, but I can't write them off. I guess the issue with them, is the only way they're at-large eligible is if they lose to a bad team. On the flipside, I love Niagra, but you have to write them off. And it's bad for St. Mary's. Getting pantsed like that last night killed them. I think any of the BCS schools(excepting WSU and probably UK and Nebraska) would have to be strongly considered with runs to their title game.

    If I can be contrarian, this is terrible news that this was ever considered a competition.

    Seriously, it feels like they're playing 5 on 4. Somehow there's always a body not covered on the glass, and then you've got 3 Siena guys swarming the ballhandler at halfcourt, with nobody to pass to.

    This Charleston/Chattanooga game has been awesome. It was 34-34 at the half. Chattanooga goes on a 20-0 run to open the first 6:30 of the 2nd half. Charleston answers with a 14-0 run over the next 2:30. 58-51 right now with 7:16 to go. Bobby Cremins is Charleston's coach.
