  1. Like I said, I'd bump Washington and Villanova ahead of them pending today's results (Villanova leads Marquette by 16 at the half), and possibly Missouri or UCLA if they won their conference tournaments. Beyond that, there's too much of a gap between them and the other teams on that list. Yeah, I had my post written for awhile before hitting submit. KU certainly feels like a 4, but there's not really a team that feels like a 3 to me.
  2. KU is presently 10th on the S-Curve Which 3 of these teams 11. Washington 12. Villanova 13. Missouri 14. Clemson 15. UCLA 16-19. Xavier/Gonzaga (WCC)/Florida State/Illinois 20. Syracuse belong ahead of them to bump them to a 4?
  3. I really wanted Kentucky to go away as soon as possible.
  4. I'd imagine Jordan or Brock get most of the minutes, but I'm still enough of a optimist fanboy that I wouldn't mind seeing Legion get 15 minutes or so.
  5. Huh, I thought Miami had a lot more on their resume. Can all 3 of them. 7 Big East teams, crazy.
  6. Chester Frazier doubtful for tomorrow.
  7. NU ties it up despite Coble only having 2 2nd half points.
  8. Baylor is boofing KU right now. It won't last, but it's still fun dammit.
  9. Theriot needs to bat 8th. why? Because hes not that good? among regulars he led the team in both average and obp last year. if that's "not that good" then what are the rest of the players? better convincing argument. theriot is good in his own ways, and obviously has deficiencies as well. but to say that the guy who got on base more than every other player on the team last year "isn't that good" is just stupid. Ok, who do you think Theriot is a better hitter than for the 2009 season? Fukudome. The Theriot hate could be the most obnoxious thing on this board. So we should put our 7th best hitter in the 2 spot..
  10. Probably cause he shoots a bunch of fadeaways and is built like a bowling ball.
  11. I drafted DelCarmen and Wheeler/Percival for my holds guys. I think it's best to draft a solid handcuff to get your holds.
  12. Eh, competition never hurt anybody. If there was no competition, and Fontenot's and Miles's numbers were reversed, how would you feel then? I'd be really annoyed that this organization would probably be stupid enough to start Aaron Miles everyday. It's not like Mike Fontenot is a tried and true stud 2B. I don't mind that there is competition. It's going to end up as some sort of platoon eventually anyway. The problem was getting Miles, but Fontenot doesn't deserve a 162 game job anyway. At least Fontenot doesn't have a proven track record of sub-mediocrity against righties. Giving Aaron [expletive] Miles a chance to win a full time starting job would be awful.
  13. Nonsense. Players play, and contribute, at less than 100% all the time. Maybe I shouldn't have used the term "not 100%," but I'm fine with a player taking himself out when he doesn't feel up to it. Moreso the case with pitchers, but it's a longass season, player decides he wants a break, give him a break.
  14. They're not very good?

  16. What just cause they don't run an offense or play much of a defense? Also, they have ugly uniforms. So do the Globetrotters.

  18. lol If you're being unbiased I don't see how you can say there was nothing wrong with what he said. He basically admitted that he sat out on days he could have played because he didn't want his numbers to take a hit because it might cost him money the next season. How is that "telling it like it is"? Shut up Milton. We're tryng to like you. Just shut up. If he's not putting up good numbers then he's hurting his team. If he is not on the field, then his replacement player is not putting up the same numbers he is capable of. Bradley not being on the field for whatever reason is going to hurt the Cubs. It is proven he can't stay on the field, and in some eyes for being selfish. He should have probably kept quiet until his productivity speaks for itself. He didn't say he was sitting because he was facing a tough pitcher. He was sitting because he didn't feel 100%. Whether it was for selfish reasons or not, it's not beneficial for a team to have somebody unhealthy or sick or whatever playing.
  19. Tucker and Walker are a 2 man team right now.
  20. I don't want my #2 hitter to move runners over. I want him to get on base and drive runs in. If your offensive philosophy is to waste outs having your #2 guy just get your leadoff man into scoring position, you're doing yourself a disservice. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but the odds of scoring a run with a man on 1st and 0 outs is a lot higher than a man on 2nd with 1 out. well, your odds of scoring runs also greatly increase when you have your highest OBP guy hitting 2nd rather than 8th. Your odds of scoring runs greatly decrease when you have your lowest SLG guy hitting 2nd rather than 8th. See what I did there??

I think we should bat Ryan Dempster second when he pitches cause he's a good bunter and can get runners over.
  22. do you have any evidence of this? Well, he was pretty bad about GIDP. I know that much.
  23. I'd rank them FSU Gonzaga Xavier EDITED
  24. 8 bubbles: Michigan TX A&M Minnesota Arizona BC TN Dayton PSU
  25. I thought they said NDState started D-1 in 2006 They transitioned in with a couple years as an independent, and then a year in the Summit but not allowed in the conference tourney, then this year.
