  1. Pretty sure he does. I haven’t seen lower than 55 put on his speed and multiple 60s. Perfectly fine with Shaw there. I think he actually has more potential impact than he’s given credit for, but still is safe enough to let the Cubs swing for the fences later on.
  2. I could be talked into pretty much any option at 13 that isn't one of the low exit velo hitters. So naturally that means the Cubs will take Jacob Wilson.
  3. Friendly reminder that since the middle of May (164 PAs) he’s been a .300/.360/.507 hitter.
  4. I'm actually a pretty big fan of Schanuel, but I 100% get this. This type of pick is much easier to stomach in the 20's, rather than at 13.
  5. Damn. PCA just made a ridiculous catch to end the 1st. Raisin, you better find the highlight reel of it and post it here. Edit: I will count that as your punishment for saying Triantos was fine over 2 weeks ago, despite the fact that he hasn't played since being removed early.
  6. Yet another game without Triantos in the lineup for SB. Boo.
  7. PCA just took his 3rd BB of the game.
  8. Triantos out of the lineup tonight after being taken out early last night.
  9. I didn’t get to watch tonight. Why was Triantos pulled early?
  10. He can be so dang good when he’s throwing strikes like that.
  11. Brown picks up 2 more Ks in the 4th. Up to 9.
  12. Shine is really coming off the kid.
  13. Brown just struck out the side in the 3rd (the top of the order) and has 7 Ks through 3. More importantly is that he hasn't walked anyone.
  14. Good pitching day, after a bit of a yawner yesterday.
  15. Jose Escobar making his ACL debut tonight! I thought he was going to miss most of the year with an injury of some kind. Unless it’s simply more ACL box score shenanigans.
  16. Herz actually throwing strikes tonight. Not used to that.
  17. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-pipeline-2023-mock-draft-june-8?t=mlb-draft-coverage Mayo gives the Cubs Jacob Gonzalez in his mock this morning. Mentions Bradfield, Shaw, Waldrep (gross), and Colt Emerson as well.
  18. Is this where we talk about what prospects we want the Cubs to target in Stroman/Bellinger deals?
  19. Since that disaster of a High A debut, his FIP is a laughable 0.10. 48.4% K rate and a 3.2% BB rate. Please stay healthy.
  20. Rojas with a line drive 2B into the LF corner in his first full season AB. His body really matured over the past year.
  21. Holy crap. That's a really aggressive promotion. He is just barely 18.
  22. Correct. He's thrown some nasty ones already.
  23. Pitching is ugly for the ACL team, but Rojas/Sanchez/Paciolla/Lubo and co should be fun to follow. Wish these games were televised. I’ve gotten spoiled.
