    PCA out of the lineup again. It would be great to have one of our legit hitting prospects be able to play every day.

    Dare I say, Franklin is learning how to pitch. 10-2 GB/FB ratio. Tons of weak contact. Only 1 walk in 5.2 efficient innings (76 pitches). Downside was only 3 Ks but that will come with his stuff. He’s getting me quite hopeful again.

    That was a great start by Horton. 8 Ks and 0 BBs is lovely. But I was really impressed with how efficient he was. 54 pitches through 4 innings. We know he will be babied this year, since he hasn't pitched much, but it's nice to see that he was on pace for 7-8 innings if they let him go. A couple of the hits Horton gave up were nothing great, either. The ground-rule double was an opposite field end-of-the-bat flare that took a hop straight left into the stands. Another was a groundball single that a good 2B would have gotten to.

    I didn't hear anything on the broadcasts, but I admittedly have been switching them off once the SP gets taken out of the game lately.

    Brown likely done after 4. Terrific in 3 of those innings. Lost control in the 2nd, walked a couple, and gave up a couple singles. 4IP, 2H, 1ER, 2BBs, 6Ks

    PCA out for 4th consecutive game.

    Wicks has his changeup cooking tonight. Multiple swinging Ks on it through 3 innings. Only blemish is a bunt single and has 5 Ks total so far.

    Ferris only goes 2 innings. I’m assuming it’s due to needing 45 pitches, rather than an injury. No PCA again tonight for Tennessee. Has he played this week?

    I'm really sick of seeing Lowder mocked to the Cubs. So that means it will probably happen.

    Just swap in Horton or Wicks for Wesneski and call it good.

    I'm not sure his defense at 3B is even "adequate" but the bat certainly is intriguing. Murray is one of those guys that gets dealt to the A's and makes an AS team somewhere along the line. My boy Ballesteros doing work. I knew he had at least 1, but was not aware that our favorite bowling ball has 3, yes 3, stolen bases this year already.

    Franklin was really good through 4. 4 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 Ks, 8 groundouts on only 54 pitches. Gave up a solo bomb and walked 2 in the 5 which made his line ho-hum.

    Agreed. Both bases were stolen on Horton, not Opitz. Huge jumps.

    Yes. I had to switch to my phone to watch the game. Horton was fine in the 1st, despite allowing 3 hits and 2 runs. 2 of the 3 hits were seeing eye singles and there were 2 stolen bases that allowed the runners to score from 2nd. Sitting 96-97.

    A Horton start in the morning is fun. Well, at least in theory.

    As I was the jinx for Jordan Wicks, I am the anti-jinx for Ben Brown. He only craps the bed when I don’t get to watch. Seriously, what the hell happened to him today? Ugly.

    Hmm. Still not buying Ben Brown stock for some reason at mlb.com.

    Franklin leaving balls over the middle too much when ahead in the count in the 1st. Settled down nicely in the 2nd. I have only heard one velo reading, which was 96.
