Feels like I'm forgetting someone obvious.
SB definitely can use the help in that lineup after McGeary got promoted.
We could realistically see Ferris/Horton/Hodge/Brown tomorrow. Does anyone know if the minor league games get archived on mlb.tv?
$2.9 million. At the time it was the biggest non-Cuban bonus in team history.
Tough to tell if it was covid-related or not, but that class has been a huge disappointment league-wide.
I broke my Wicks jinx! He was really good today. 5 no-hit innings with 4K/1BB. Tons of really weak contact. Bad call in the 1st cost him about 12 pitches (and an unearned run). Otherwise he probably goes 6.
The Brown AAA debut is reason enough to tune in tonight, but the hitters will be facing Gavin Williams. I want to see how Mervis does against that terrific fastball.
The covid year really messed up my perception. Normally a 23 year old mashing at High A, even the year immediately after being drafted, was easily ignored. But now? There are plenty of pitchers his age that he faced in High A. It's not like he was beating up on 20 year olds. A weird time for us prospect nuts.
I'm surprised that he wasn't moved up to take Brown's spot, with Horton taking his spot at SB.
Thankfully you're in a safe space now.
In today's Fun With Arbitrary Endpoints:
Brennen Davis since Iowa had that week off due to weather (11 games, 46 PA): .316/.435/.447, 8.7% BB, 6.5%K, 5-5 SBs, 137 wRC+, .324 BABIP
Yeah, I would be pretty disappointed if they traded anything for Dalvin. He's been very open about his desire to play in Miami, so just wait for Minny to cut him. I like him as a player, but not at his current price tag.
