  1. Make that 2 bombs for Shaw. First one to right center. This one to left center. As I said, monster.
  2. Matt Shaw is ridiculous. Took a walk in the 1st and hit a solo bomb in the 3rd. Both against former 1st rounder and top 100 prospect Chase Petty. Been fine at 3B defensively as well. He’s a monster.
  3. Not at all. Forearm is almost always UCL related
  4. horsefeathers. Franklin was looking great in his AAA debut and pretty sure he just blew his elbow.
  5. Never had any issue with Ferris getting dealt. Trading minor league arms for minor league bats with both production and 1st round pedigree is usually a winning proposition.
  6. So Zyhir Hope is going nuclear to start the year. I would be wildly pissed off about that, if Busch wasn’t looking so good at the big league level.
  7. This is even a bad angle for a minor league game. The worst I’ve even seen
  8. This camera angle for the TEN game is terrible.
  9. I agree 100%. Semantics, but I probably should have said middling. There will always be a couple prospects that stick out. But I would say at least half of the league, maybe more, has more recognizable talent at this point in the lower levels. But then again the Cubs have WAY more talent in the upper levels right now than pretty much anybody other than Baltimore. As you said, it's a transition. It just makes the lower levels much less interesting to follow right now, which is all I was getting at. For sure. And obviously that is the ideal outcome. Just makes it less entertaining on nights when those prospect-laden upper minors teams don't play. That hadn't really hit home for me until last night, when I was flipping between the MB and SB games while waiting for the big league game. Those two teams are boring AF right now.
  10. When Tennessee doesn't play, it becomes painfully obvious just how mediocre the talent level is in this system at the lower levels. Or maybe it just did for me.
  11. AZPhil updated the pitching comments. Arias has been moved to the pen at AA, and Gallardo has been bumped to the rotation. Tennessee is now Horton/Franklin/Birdsell/Nolan/Gallardo. Have to imagine Arias's presence on the 40 man facilitated this.
  12. I'm sure this class is probably better than I give it credit for, but after the ridiculous 2023 draft, this one looks really mediocre.
  13. Hitters Sleeper: I would have said Zyhir Hope 😔 . I will go with Angel Cepeda. Keeper: Josh Rivera Weeper: Alexander Canario Pitchers Sleeper: Nazier Mule Keeper: Drew Gray Weeper: Michael Arias
  14. Tough to see anyone other than Yamamoto winning the NL ROY as long as he stays healthy.
  15. Absolutely this. I was kind of hoping for one of these trades this offseason, tbh.
  16. Not close, YET. Would anyone at all be surprised if the Dodgers signed another big money FA?
  17. He looks closer to 5'9" and 225. At least on video.
  18. Love watching this kid hit. He has such a good feel of the zone.
  19. Dang. He was a fun pop up this year. Hopefully it's nothing that requires surgery. 124 wRC+ on the year. 146 wRC+ after it warmed up in mid-May.
  20. No Shaw in his first game at AA is a bit of a letdown today.
  21. And another. 4 for 5 with 4 xbhs tonight.
  22. Another Canario bomb. Dude is on quite a heater.
  23. It's a Votto starter kit for me.
