    I think we have enough body of work to say Mitch will never be a great QB or a franchise QB. However, I am still confident we can win a Super Bowl with Mitch at QB because of this defense.

    No, Bears win tiebreakers with Rams and Saints. Lose tiebreaker to DAL. oh nice, so things get more interesting if the Panthers fighting for their playoff lives beat the Saints tomorrow Two games with the Panthers and the Steelers sandwiched in between.

    Sorry but i don't think it matters unless you just want a division title... I mean wheater they play WC or NLDS, how much confidence do you have in the offense against a team top 2 starters and the BP to hold a lead or keep a game close what team's top 2 starters scare you in the NL playoffs?

    Every GM every year has work to do. It's their job. There is no major flaw with this team. They won their division and reached the NLCS for a third straight year. There is stuff to clean up. But this team came awfully close to winning another World Series, despite flaming out in this series. I agree with you Duke, but this team did have a major flaw (the bullpen) and it was exposed during the postseason. The bullpen needs to be revamped in a major way. We shouldn't bring W. Davis back and need to get rid of Rondon and Grimm. The only ones I want back are CJ, Strop and M. Montgomery. Wilson will be back. Maybe he can turn it around?

    As far as being the same next year - Offensively yes, but the 2/5 off the pitching staff will be different and I wonder how much different the bullpen will look.

    Pulling Lester with 2 outs and a runner on first, not pulling Carl until 2 batters after it was clear he was bad Carl, letting his closer pitch to 2 extra batters in a 5 run game with Game 5 in 24 hours Only one I agree with you on is not pulling Carl sooner. I don't think 12 total pitches today for Wade is a factor.
