    Theo told the team that the Cubs Way was to play like every series was the playoffs. He didn't think that one through. I doubt this is true, we've already won several games. 3. The Cubs have won 3 games. Small sample size

    Then dont [expletive] listen then. I know there will be idiotic callers, but not all. For me, if Im frustrated with the Cubs, listening to fan frustration is therapeutic, regardless of how idiotic some fans will be. Thats part of the reason I follow the game threads on this board is to get fan reaction. I cant do that when Im driving.

    Whatever the Cubs decide to do with their next radio deal, I hope it includes a more substantial post game show. The current version is severely lacking, usually providing a recap with high(low)lights, manager remarks, other scores, and a [expletive] of commercials. It would be nice if they provided more analysis and fan reaction. But, usually that part is skipped so they can hurry on to the [expletive] Gary Mayer show after a weekday afternoon game or other programming after night games (classical music discussion I heard while driving home from the Monday night Brewers game). I don't regularly listen to the postgame show, but it would be nice to have something more substantial to listen to while out driving. Anyone know when the current deal runs out? I want to say that I've heard the current contract labeled as a "sweetheart deal."

    Ok, I didn't see the game today. How did Samardzija look? Is he back to the old Samardzija from yesteryear? Or, was today's outing just a blip on the radar?

    With how bad this team is and their tough, early season schedule, I think their best chance is May 21 - 23 at Houston.

    I believe this was my first Cubs game, from 1985, when I was 8. I remember them losing to the Giants on a weekend game in Wrigley around the 1985-1986 seasons with the Giants hitting a few HR's. My dad got these tickets from his boss's season tickets, which at the time were 5 rows from the field, behind homeplate on the first base side. These seats are probably the 10th-15th row now since they expanded closer to homeplate. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/CHN/CHN198507060.shtml Now, my first actual MLB game was in 83 or 84 at the old Comiskey Park to watch the White Sox play the Blue Jays. I had a hard time finding this game as I thought the Sox won 8-7, but couldn't find that score on BR. I remember it being a night game, warm and sunny that day, and my mom persuaded my brother to take me after his date had backed out.

    Is this a serious question? Wood basically won our only playoff series in any of our lifetimes single handedly. What's that got to do with blowing the second game in a row? Nothing, but it's why the average meathead cub fan will always love Kerry Wood. I guess you answered my original question
