  1. I think 10/$150 might not be terribly unpalatable for either side. Figuring about $60 million might buy out the arbitration years (including this year) and then tack on the rest for the final 3 years. Hmm... 2015: .5M 2016: .5M 2017: 2M (arb 1) 2018: 4M (arb 2) 2019: 8M (arb 3) 2020: 15M (arb 4) 2021: 30M (FA) 2022: 30M (FA) 2023: 30M (FA) 2024: 30M (FA) Total: 10/150M
  2. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/04/30/2015-draft-reaction-blog-day-1/ 7: Chicago Bears Kevin White, WR, West Virginia Brandon Marshall is gone but fear not Bears fans because Kevin White is in town. A beast of a receiver, his physicality and ability to win downfield scared many a college defensive back and promise to do the same in the NFL. Only Amari Cooper forced more missed tackles, and only Devin Smith had more deep touchdowns (7) than the talented wideout. A truly explosive player, the tandem of him and Alshon Jeffery is one that rightly has the Bears fans in attendance sitting very pretty. This fit makes all kinds of sense. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/05/01/2015-draft-reaction-blog-round-2/ 39. Chicago Bears Eddie Goldman, ID, Florida State What He Brings: An ability to stand up and be counted at the line of scrimmage. Won’t let double teams hurt him like a Carl Davis would and is a guy who can truly eat up blocks. Still could do more in that regard with a rather paltry 16 defensive stops in the run game really unimpressive. Don’t expect much out of him as pass rusher, isn’t his game where 43 interior defenders had higher pass rusher games against the Power-5. Where He Fits: Right on the nose. Its possible the team might use Jay Ratliff there but Goldman is your prototypical space eater who should make life easier for those behind him. He’s no Jordan Phillips mind. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/05/01/2015-draft-reaction-blog-round-3/ 71. Chicago Bears Hroniss Grasu, C, Oregon The Bears aren’t exactly stacked at center with Will Montgomery currently pencilled in to start so Grasu has a real chance to start. Referred to by some as a poor man’s Jason Kelce, Grasu is an extremely fluid athlete but is a little undersized and it shows with how much help he got at Oregon. Real zone blocking center who had the highest run blocking grade of Power-5 centers in a scheme that was a little friendly in this regard. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/05/02/2015-draft-reaction-blog-day-3/ 106. Chicago Bears Jeremy Langford, RB, Michigan State Langford forced at least three missed tackles in six games while gaining an average of 3.1 yards after contact against Power 5 teams, ninth-most in this class. He graded negatively as a blocker and receiver. 142. Chicago Bears Adrian Amos, S, Penn State Amos held Power 5 QBs to a 19.2 passer rating on throws into his coverage (3.3 QB rating when covering the slot), the best mark in the class. 183. Chicago Bears Tayo Fabuluje, OT, TCU Fabuluje had the best Pass Blocking Efficiency (97.2) for eligible LTs from the Big-12.
  3. I was trying to figure out how the front 7 will shake out given the additional of Goldman. I'm thinking the nickel/pass rush situations will bring the OLB's into the DL. Not sure who's who among the rest of the LB, so they are pretty interchangeable in the below. 3-4 5T: McDonald NT: Goldman/Ratliff 3T: Jenkins/Ferguson OLB: Houston/Acho ILB: Bostic/McClellin ILB: Foster/Jones OLB: McPhee Nickel: DE: Young DT: McPhee DT: Ratliff/Houston DE: Allen LB: Bostic/McClellin LB: Foster/Jones
  4. I think OT is a good move. Bushrod is aging quickly and Mills should not be starting. What does everyone think og Long moving to LT? I was talking about the Titans there, but Grassu seems like a good pick for the Bears. I would have preferred a T or S, but I can't complain. They definitely have a long term need for C, along with so many other positions.
  5. Pretty great to have a GM that lets the draft come to him - Angelo and [expletive], what's his name - Emery both went unconventional and ended up reaching/losing value. Two picks in Pace is just letting the players come to him.

    Rizzo

I made some disparaging comments about Kevin Millar the other day. I still think he's annoying as [expletive], but, since I compared him to Kaplan, I think I owe him an apology after watching this video. So here goes: Kevin, I'm sorry I compared you, in any way, to Kaplan (who is a total [expletive]). You had a fun interview with Rizzo, and I was wrong to compare you to a racist douchebag. Sincerely Jumbo (formerly Jumbowang)
  8. Really glad to see this. AA had an awful start this year at MLB and also AAA. Great for the roster with his versatility if he can hit at all. Dangerous as **** if he can be a Zobrist type.
  9. Hopefully they broke out the good rum. Up your butt, Jobu
  10. Millar is a national Kaplan, maybe not as self absorbed, but equally loud and pleased with himself i don't get the sense that he's a closet racist either and i don't get the sense that kaplan is loud and goofy i don't see the similarity at all I guess I think they're both generally blowhards. Loud, irritating - I guess I really avoid them both so much that I don't know if their views are similar, but I can't stand to listen to either for more than 5 seconds at a time.

  12. i guess things are different in ohio, the last time i hired people for groundscrew i got in a lot of trouble Was it at a swim club? I met up with a friend in Dayton earlier this week and he suggested an establishment for us to visit. I had a couple hours beforehand, and googled the place. This is the first picture from their yelp page - I opted to just go to a bar instead. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/the-living-room-dayton?select=xREirFMGXAMEGs_JRVQP8w#xREirFMGXAMEGs_JRVQP8w
  13. Why should he be banned? That seems harsh. Definitely. Dude is harmless. Seeing 12 new threads every day is quite annoying. But that might just be my #teammegathread preference. agree
  14. I thought I just read that he was in the Marlin's system when Cabrera took third, then Uggla blocked him at second. I don't think they were ever on the same team all at once, but that was the article's rationale for him moving to OF
  15. Nicely done
  16. I believe the closest one is in Dayton. That's right an hour away. Another strike against Cincinnati. yeah, just head for dayton and ask around for directions to the swim club. you won't be disappointed. much obliged
  17. LOL holy [expletive] inappropriate?
  18. any of you cinci experts care to notify me of any worthy strip clubs? I'm going there on business next week
  19. Don't forget the roids
  20. I never realized that Coghlan could play anywhere but LF. I looked up his fielding at BR and apparently he's played a lot of 2B and some 3B in the minors. Almost none at MLB, though. Given that he's below average in LF makes it hard to believe he'd be better anywhere else on the diamond. But yeah, 15th inning, go ahead and stick him at 2B.
  21. I love this 9-4 (1-4 & 9)
  22. I'm voting Vogelbach
  23. 4
