    i'm pretty sure i've been in leagues with raisin and nccubfan, so whenever this guy's time is up i'll ask either/or.

    maybe someone pm nccubfan or raisin or jon and see if they're interested? not that i'm judgemental against new posters, but someone with only 63 posts probably doesn't hang out on nsbb frequently enough to keep this thing moving.

    I'm not getting this line of thinking. Samardzija has already signed a contract with the Cubs that will pay him something like $7.5M over the next few years if he simply shows up with his spikes and glove. Why would some new contract be needed if he's formally decided on baseball? i don't think that's true.

    cesar izturis for scott rolen? rolen is such a team player i'm sure he won't mind the switch to shortstop

    i don't think there's any sources for it. but he was expected to make a decision around this time, and there's no other better explanation for a hendry press conference. it's just some people's best guess.

    Grudzielanek was long, but pretty easy. It's essentially just spelled out how it sounds. Samardzija is just weird. But it helps me to think of his last name in 2 parts. Samard and zija. Just try to think of it that way and then when you need to spell his name just combine the 2 words.

    What on God's earth gave you that idea? The fact that he's been hurt? No, the fact that his tone of voice when he talks to media. The look in his eyes as he talks about the cubs or being a cub. The fact he's got a slight frown in most interviews. That's why I said I got the "feeling", IE sense of it. I'm not saying I'm right so please don't argue about how I feel. in other words he has the opposite look of david eckstein when he's asked about being a cardinal
