    42 ounces, actually (still heavy as god knows). But, do you really think pitchers in the 20's and 30's threw that much slower? When I was playing in high school, the average pitcher we faced was throwing in the low to mid 80's and the good ones could get it into the 90's. These are 16-17 year olds with no real conditioning and no real training.     personally, i don't really care for the idea. nsbb is successful because people were starving for a well-moderated cubs board with intelligent discussion. nsbb provided that. i'm not sure there was the same demand for a bears or bulls board in the same mold. nsbb is good because it caters to a specific kind of cubs fan. but hey, incorporating the other 2 sites into this one won't really change that fact. but i'm not sure it's going to be successful. i don't think you're gonna draw any outside people here to talk about the bulls or bears, and probably 40-50% of the regular posters at nsbb aren't that interested in the bears or bulls. but i admit, i LOVE the idea of an "other sports" forum separate from the social forum. whether you want to make sub forums in those specifically geared to bulls and bears fans, i don't really care either way.

    quick wikipedia research shows that dale earnhardt and dale jr., bill and luke walton, bobby and brett hull, calvin hill and grant hill, and the ripken gang were on separate covers (though the ripkens were together on 1 cover and cal's had many covers by himself, not sure if that counts).

    oh sorry, i didn't mean to say that andruw jones is overrated. i'm just saying that if he retired today he'd be in the hall of fame, solely on his defensive reputation. andruw jones is way better than torii hunter.

    I certainly hope not. He's definitely one of the most overrated players of our era. i'd replace andruw jones with torii hunter in this paragraph and agree 100%.
