    kevin kennedy on xm radio read my facebook comment, and somehow he didn't agree with me that carlos silva is the worst pitcher in baseball. he's now my enemy.

    After that, the only logical next step would be to bring Aaron Miles back in 2 years and award him the cherished # 21. No. 21 is like the Cubs' version of the "Defense Against the Dark Arts" teaching position. if silva puts up jason marquis numbers the next 2 years then we got off light.

    the cubs could have traded milton bradley for satan, and dumbass cubs fans would love the move. carlos silva is horrible. hendry is a moron for taking him. just outright release milton for christ's sake.

    He's not going to take Mike Fontenot and turn him into Chase Utley or anything, but I think he will help with the hitter's consistency, quickly finding flaws in their swings and adjusting it before it turns into a prolonged slump. Will be interesting to see what he can do with Soriano and Fukudome, 2 hitters that have been known to fall badly away from their swing mechanics from time to time. \ gerald perry and von joshua were already considered among the best hitting coaches. rudy's contribution will be negligible.

    but the time before that when we signed a texas ranger off a career year (mark derosa) it worked out very well. so i think we're due for this to be a great signing. edit: nevermind, apparently i should read the whole thread before i post something.

    meph was big on scott olsen, and he's never been off on his projections. take a chance on him.

    ugh. it's starting to look like the bengals are just the best of the crappy afc north, and have no real chance of going far in the playoffs. beating the steelers and ravens 4 times doesn't sound impressive anymore.

    So maybe the A's are the mystery team? Not many GMs are saying postive things about Bradley so this is a start. i don't know who'd they give in return. chavez? ellis? they're the only ones making over 5 million.

    so torn. i hate tebow and florida and would love to see him lose his final game. on the other hand, the cincy fans here need a dose of reality and it'd be nice to see them humbled with a florida blowout (which is my prediction.)
