  1. I think they'll be cautious with Warner and not play him unless he's really ok. If he plays, I would go Warner. As for Garcon/Hester. I think that's a coin flip. Hester's going to continue to get targets and he'll be indoors on turf this week.
  2. I think Davis is a must start against almost any opponent at this point. In his last 8 games he's been great in 3, solid in 3, and only bad in 2. He's the highest scoring TE in my league, but I'm not sure what your scoring system is like.
  3. Yeah, Barlow should NOT have been the guy getting the ball there. Some poor coaching there.
  4. I don't know that much about Purdue, but Tennessee has been shooting lights out from outside so far - only 51% from inside the arc, but 47% from outside it. They also run the usual Bruce Pearl style - fast, heavy pressure and trying to force turnovers and get quick shots. I haven't seen much from them this year, but from listening on the radio and from talk around the program, they're playing much faster than last year. Scotty Hopson has been the star so far, shooting 59% from the field and 63% beyond the arc. Tyler Smith and Cameron Tatum have been quite good from the field as well. No true point guard, though, (but Melvin Goins might become that) and the inside guys aren't huge. Thanks, I haven't actually seen Purdue play yet this year either because nothing has been nationally televised. I don't think this game is either.
  5. I've not seen Tennessee play this year. Any thoughts on how Purdue will match up against them tonight?
  6. Funny bad by half-time? Or sooner?
  7. Wow, JaJuan Johnson is 2 for 11. How is Purdue playing in a crappy tournament like this anyway?
  8. Purdue can't pull away from South Dakota State? Seriously?
  9. MJD 169 Carries 860 Yards 5.1 YPC 12 TDs 32 Catches 220 Yards Turner 165 Carries 831 yards 5.0 YPC 10 TDs 5 Catches 35 Yards If it's a PPR league, MJD has the advantage. If it's not, they're a wash. Granted Turner is now injured and isn't going to play this weekend, however it's a long term keeper league. In my ESPN league, MJD has outscored Turner by 31. So that's what? 3 per game? Cotchery 32 catches 498 yards 2 TD Harvin 31 catches 421 yards 3 TD 889 Return Yards 2 Return TDs (5 total TDs) Cotchery has 64 fantasy points, Harvin has 72 (I'm not sure how his return scoring works but that's without the return yardage). I'm not sure how his defensive scoring works, but Jairus Byrd is leading the entire NFL in interceptions.
  10. Wells
  11. I seriously tune in to watch Noah play. In two trips down the court he just had a defensive rebound, followed by a basket, followed by a steal, followed by an assist.
  12. Eh, I would stick with Jacobs.
  13. Not that it's their biggest problem tonight. But, Ohio State is 1-6 at the free throw line. Terrible....
  14. If Benson goes, I would use him. Otherwise I would go Forte.
  15. Which Steve Smith? My initial lean is McCoy and Sims-Walker.
  16. To be fair, I don't have experience with 16 team dynasty leagues. But that sounds like a lot to give up to upgrade from Turner to MJD (if you consider it an upgrade, they have similar stats). If you get KR/PR yards and it's a long term keeper, Harvin is a pretty valuable WR. I think he would probably take it, if that's what you want.
  17. I might just go ahead and say I'll eat my shoe if Maclin doesn't catch a 50+ TD on Sunday night. But those other two are favorable matchups. I think I'd go with Roy and Maclin though. My roster is in flux because I'm trying to hustle Vincent Jackson off a guy, but for now, Ward or Hester? On a side note, I'm trying to unload Benson and Ward for Jackson. The guy just (it appears) lost Turner and I picked up Snelling from under his nose. That's part of the trouble in trying to make this deal cuz he's pissed off at me. If I get Jackson I'll get pretty loaded down the stretch. Would be starting Warner, Chris Johnson, Jacobs (meh), Wayne, Jackson and Gates. It's so tough playing guys (Maclin) going against the Bears. Kurt Warner won my game for me, but I had to witness him destroy my team. Heh. I'd hang onto Benson if you can, he's got some nice playoff matchups. I'd go with Ward, the Chiefs are going to have their hands full trying to shut down Mendenhall, Ward, Miller, Wallace, and Holmes at the same time. Philly is going to have to focus on Hester and Olsen... and that's about it... Plus, Ward is due for a big game and the Chiefs are terrible against the pass.
  18. That's what I thought before last week. But, if he can get 100+ yards combined between rushing/receiving and a score he's pretty useful to me. I remember a lot more Wells against the Bears when AZ was blowing us out, so I would imagine there will be a good dose of Wells this week too. I think ultimately I will go PT/Wells, I'm just trying to convince myself. Any thoughts on 2 of the following? Calvin Johnson vs. CLE Roy Williams vs. WAS Jeremy Maclin @ CHI I'm thinking Williams/Johnson, but Maclin could destroy the Bears secondary.
  19. Norwood is hurt. I wouldn't play either of them if Turner plays. I would recommend Snelling over Norwood, though. Ditto. And why would you drop Beanie Wells after his two most productive weeks? It appears as though he is passing Hightower as RB1 on the depth chart. i think he was saying he would drop Greene to pick up Wells. and yes, i would. Yeah, I did end up picking up Wells, but I dropped Westbrook to get him. My backs right now consist of: Forte - Obviously no running game in Chicago, but if he keeps catching passes he's useful. Pierre Thomas - Extremely inconsistent and one of many weapons for NO. Beanie Wells - Hopefuly he keeps gaining ground on Hightower. Shonn Greene - Maybe Thomas Jones will get hurt?? Haha. Laurence Maroney - Meh. I think I'm going to take 2 of Forte (vs. PHI), PT (@TB), and Wells this week (@STL). Probably Forte and PT, but I'm thinking about PT and Wells. The problem is that Forte is the only one of those guys guaranteed to be on the field the bulk of the time.
  20. Is that sarcasm? Or did you forget the Bears don't pick until the 3rd round this year?
  21. I know it's early but Westbrook got KO'd again (I'm going to waive him). Norwood and Snelling are both available, who do I grab? Also, would you drop Shonn Greene for Beanie Wells? I'm doing Running Back by committe on this team.
  22. I'm only spot starting him at this point. Really, home against STL is the only must start of the year left for Forte. I have him in a 2 QB league and Peyton Manning was on the board when I got him. Ugh. If you make the playoffs, Wells/Hightower have some nice matchups with DET/STL.
  23. I need 2 of the following. Pierre Thomas @ STL Laurence Maroney @ IND Matt Forte @ SF Brian Westbrook @ SD I'm leaning PT and Maroney. In my league, TDs are what matter most. 6 pts per TD, only 1 pt per 20 yrds rushing/receiving, no points per reception, etc. I'm thinking Westbrook will get a light load coming off the concusion and I don't really trust the Bears rushing attack for obvious reasons.
  24. I would go Thomas and Brown as well. I am starting Benson in one of my two leagues, but I don't have the Ronnie Brown option!
  25. They did in 2000, with Brees. I had season tickets that year, fun year. Didn't lose at home and went to the Rose Bowl.
