Should QB size really be that big a deal anymore? I know it is among scouts, but with the increase in spread offenses and mobile QBs, you're not seeing quarterbacks just drop straight back and try to look over linemen anymore. Now they're scrambling out, moving around and getting out from behind the linemen. At that point, size is pretty irrelevant as long as you can get enough force behind your throws. By the way, I'm not questioning you or anything, it's more that your question caused me to have this thought. Right, I understand how effective he can be when scrambling, but it seems like even when he stands in the pocket he's making strong, accurate throws. Maybe it's been a myth that quarterbacks need to be tall.
