  1. I don't think that means anything. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you a Cubs fan? Don't you want this whole thing to be a joke? If McGwire is as lousy as you say he is, then that would mean the Cardinals are going to get worse. I'm not sure you know what you're complaining about.
  2. Assuming this guy meant every word, I'm in awe that a turd of this magnitude is actually published by what would ostensibly seem to be a legitimate journalistic outfit. Gotcha! I wasn't sure what you were aiming for.
  3. I don't know if this guy's being serious or satirical, but if it's the former, I'm in awe. http://www.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/red-sox/jerry-thornton/2010/03/09/geeks-will-inherit-earth?page=0,0 You're in awe of an editorial with a stale premise?
  4. Ahh, a jab at someone's ethnicity. That's always good for laughs.
  5. Descending player, but still useful at WLB. The Rams' defense got signifcantly worse when he was traded.
  6. If you're going to insult him, get it right: .263.
  7. Clank. Clank. Clank.
  8. WIsh Kim English would play like this more often.
  9. Wow, what a brainfart by WV. Holy crap.
  10. Why do referees favor Cole Aldrich so much? And that dude is awful on the pick-and-roll.
  11. I don't even want to watch this KU-MU game.
  12. You should give up that battle right now because few fans understand that only a small amount of payroll space should go towards the bullpen. I argued that to no end with someone a few weeks ago who never grasped that the best relievers are usually the closers and there's only a handful of dependable relievers year in, year out. I should give up talking baseball on the Internet.
  13. None of the 30 teams was even going to offer something like $750K? Just doesn't make sense.
  14. Actually, the whole thing is over. If you were being more attentive, you would know that McGwire gave the media their day a couple weeks ago and the world has moved on. And honestly, what were they going to ask him yesterday?
  15. I bet McLiar and LaLoser paid off his old teammates to keep their mouths shut. Unfortunately, Jose Canseco is a man of integrity and would not keep his mouth shut.
  16. I've been out of the loop on Maryland so long I didn't know they had yellow uniforms. There is no good that can come from a KU-KState game. Ugh, I hate KSU on the "Octagon of Doom" garbage alone.
  17. Ya, but Brandon Roy is still better.
  18. That's been the prevalent rumor for nearly 2 weeks now, I'd say. No idea of its accuracy, but if they're going QB it ought to be Clausen, I'd think. I don't think you should ever take a QB that high unless you think he's a stone-cold lock to succeed big-time in the pros because of the money. It befuddles me that the Rams could come to that determination about a guy who had shoulder surgery last year, didn't have that strong an arm to begin with and came from a system that would be ridiculed via pro potential if the players wore Texas Tech uniforms instead of Oklahoma. I think Bradford could be fine in the pros but I don't like him even close to that much. Yeah, but you're using logic, stupid. It's pretty unbearable listening to people tell the Rams what they should do. This is the first time they "earned" the No. 1 pick and I can't stand it. The arguments for Bradford/Clausen always come down to "they didn't take Cutler, Ryan or Sanchez so they have to take a quarterback now." Or it's "defensive tackles don't provide good value" And my new favorite "when was the last time a defensive tackle won the Super Bowl?" I would be quite OK with Bradford, but the way people automatically assume it's gotta be him is making my head hurt.
  19. I couldn't believe that happened.
  20. lol, roy cant stay healthy though also he's worse than kevin durant at basketball Ha, ha. This is wrong in so many ways Yeah. I once said "it's pretty impressive that Kevin Durant is 21 and already shooting 47-38-88 and averaging 30 per game. We could be looking at someone joining the elite 50-40-90 club and averaging over 30 by his age 22 season." Then they were all like "yeah, well Brandon Roy dishes five dimes a game." Then I threw my hands up because I realized I was arguing with an unserious person who obviously knows nothing about Kevin Durant.
  21. Does that include leading a tent revival?
  22. Man, I have no height perception when I'm watching television. Tim Tebow measured in at 6-2. I thought for sure he was closer to 6-5. He's just as tall as Jimmy Clausen... I can't wait to watch Monday's "1st and 10" with Skip Bayless. The guy acts like he's Tebow's publicist and the Combine spin should be pretty entertaining.
  23. I hear you. There's a certain player in STL with a little "skip" in his step that is becoming too expensive.
  24. Heh, I always assumed he was taller than six foot. I'd love for a stupid team out there, like the Dodgers, to acquire a bunch of gritty guys who like to play and love playing. Bill Plaschke's columns would make heads explode.
  25. Isn't Kevin Millar a little too tall and too much of a first baseman to be one of the guys that likes to play and loves playing? Those guys are usually bad middle infielders or Juan Pierre.
