  1. QB: Newton @ NO or Rivers vs NYG TE: Witten @ CHI or M. Bennett vs DAL Experts seem to think Newton will be fine in the Superdome, I'm less certain.
  2. Cutler practiced today.
  3. Mathews.
  4. Have you seen the defense he'll be facing? Bears are actually 14th in passing yards allowed and 6th in interceptions. They have an average pass defense that will force the occasional turnover. They aren't really the problem. What I didn't clarify is that Romo can play like [expletive] and they'll still rush for 150+ en route to an easy victory. Murray is more than capable. The Bears have allowed 1843 total yards on the ground. The 2nd worst, New England, have allowed almost 200 yards less, 1658. Haha.
  5. I can't picture Romo playing well in those conditions. Wishful thinking perhaps.
  6. It's not if you think McCown could otherwise keep going at this level, which is questionable at best considering his history. Cutler likely hasn't reached his full potential with this offense yet.
  7. Yeah, let's talk about it after Philly beats Detroit and we beat Dallas. That's about the only scenario that can revive the prospect of going. Of course if that happens all I'll think about is how Trestman is the reason we're not in sole possession of 1st.
  8. I know no one cares, but I just missed a 6-team playoff in a 12-team league with this team: QB Romo, Dalton RB Lynch, C. Johnson, F. Jackson, Murray, Bernard WR Marshall, A. Brown, R. Cooper, K. Allen, M. Colston TE J. Reed, G. Graham D/ST Cardinals K Novak How does that even happen? Only sort-of weak position was TE. Meanwhile some teams that are riddled with injuries and have mostly inactive managers cruised their way in. Too much of a stackhouse at RB, all 5 are Top 15 in RB pts. Was literally drawing 2 out of a hat to play each week, with Lynch being the only sure play. This week I left Jackson and Murray on my bench. FML. Thought about trading, but didn't think it would be worth trading a really good RB for a TE not named Graham or Gronkowski. Thankfully I have another league where I'm in great shape to make a deep playoff run. This is why you do more than one I guess, heh.
  9. And throw in the fact that if Gould kicks the same kick 2 or 3 yards further up it probably sneaks in the right upright.
  10. I need 15.4 points or more (non-PPR) from Marshawn Lynch tomorrow night to take the final playoff spot in my casual league. Anything less and I'm out. Gotta love FF.
  11. Elect to receive if given the choice. Score early and often. Make Ponder beat you. Don't fall behind early allowing them to pound AP and dominate the clock. Bears 38 Vikes 27
  12. This has probably been discussed already but I swear there have been more concussions to players this year than any year before.
  13. Luck Nelson DeSean Jeffery
  14. On the other hand, a loss that pretty much finishes the Packers is tempting to root for.
  15. I'm pulling for GB. I much rather the Bears control their own destiny, which they would if they win Sunday coupled with a GB win over Detroit on Thursday.
  16. HOW CAN THAT BE POSSIBLE WHEN THE ANKLE WAS A SMOKESCREEN TO THE OBVIOUS GROIN INJURY THE TEAM WAS HIDING!!!!11111 /kaplan Trestman just said during his PC today that he totally expects Cutler to play again this year. And that it's nothing more than a high ankle sprain. Not sure I believe him, although it sounds like the media took Cutler's comment about "other things going on with the ankle" and ran with it. The very next day they were reporting "serious ligament damage" with no clear source other than his comments. I still say the Dallas game. Although with this defense it doesn't really matter, does it.
  17. Bears- Jay Cutler, Marcus Robinson, Rashaan Salaam. Cubs- Derrek Lee, Alfonso Soriano, Starlin Castro. Iowa Basketball- Dean Oliver lol Next on my list: Alshon Jeffery and eventually Javier Baez.
  18. Cortland Finnegan doubtful for tomorrow. Although apparently he isn't even starting anymore.
  19. He's a "couple weeks away" according to Trestman after the game Sunday.
  20. Cutler seen at practice with no more cast, according to Twitter.
  21. Yeah, would be nice to have the Washington and the home Detroit game back, like Raw said. But realizing that all of our wins with the exception of maybe the Steelers game could have easily been losses makes me feel better though. In GB the game was mostly in control but no Rodgers. The other four wins could have easily swung the other way at the end. Too many close games.
  22. Hmm, interesting. I obviously believe Jay more than any other source, and I have a hard time believing he'll go from being ruled out so quickly this week to playing next week. Stranger things have happened I guess. I'll predict Cutler and Briggs both return on the MNF game against Dallas on Dec. 9. They don't need either to beat Minnesota.
  23. Yeah, while the Paea thing sucks, mostly because it means more Cohen, I'll gladly take the return of Shea and Ratliff. I thought Jennings was dead for a second yesterday. Turns out it's nothing, so at least there's that.
