  1. We could have really had Arians with a Marinelli ran defense? [expletive] me.
  2. What are we using as evidence of Marshall's decline? A season where he was injured Week 1 and not close to 100% thereafter? 2015 will be his age 31 year, could be several years of good production left from a possession receiver that good. Throw in the fact that he's an elite run blocker and I see no reason to move on right now.
  3. Brandon's had a bad year, but no legal troubles at least. I'm willing to give him a shot with the new regime.
  4. Dallas at Green Bay will be pretty good next week. Carolina at Seattle, not so much.
  5. I'd like Phillips gone, but there's no way I'll end today unsatisfied. GM plus entire coaching staff will suffice if need be.
  6. He's not bad, but I doubt he'll ever be a guy people are afraid of. That should have been his point, instead he went full meatball. Never go full meatball.
  7. Bridgewater will be fine, but Cutler is still the 2nd best QB in the division as it stands right now. Of course I'd take Bridgewater due to age alone though.
  8. Was projected to lose my title game by about 50 going into SNF. Then Wilson went off for me, Seahawks D had a decent effort, which brought me within 2.1 points with no players left, he had Green left. So I needed one catch for -4 yards (0.3 PPR), a fumble, and then for Green to leave the game and/or not catch anything else. He left the game with nothing. Lost by 2.1. I had some pretty poor efforts from big players (Charles, Evans, Olsen), but I can't help but pin my loss on Cody [expletive] Parkey. I win if he makes one of those two misses, one being a chip shot.
  9. Had 330 yards against the Vikes last month, and Tannehill put up 396 against them yesterday. Still an outside chance he can hit 4,000. A good game will also bump him to a 90+ QB rating finish.
  10. Has Clausen officially been announced as the starter this week?
  11. Oh my [expletive] god he just completely won over all of meatballdom.
  12. Le megapunt, ladies and gentlemen.
  13. If we keep Trestman I'm going full CubsChiefsMagic.
  14. So Mike Shanahan was just on ESPN heaping all sorts of praise on Cutler (and RGIII), saying he still considers them both franchise QBs. Also threw in the fact that he would return to coaching given the right situation. While he (obviously) wouldn't be my choice straight up, the number of coaches willing to take on Cutler at this point has to be pretty small.
  15. He really is the most professional person in this entire organization.
  16. Good lord, I don't want to see Clausen hurt but the thought of Cutler coming in and leading the team to victory... I do have a bit of a problem with the "we're seeking improvement at QB" stance though. Seeing what you have in your backup, keeping Jay safe, or even saying you need a "spark" is vague enough, but there's absolutely nothing which suggests Clausen can be an improvement over Cutler.
  17. Who would've thought the guy who's hated on the Bears for years doesn't hate Cutler, color me a little surprised. He basically slammed fans for wanting a game manager who doesn't take risks, which I can agree with.
  18. He can win a SB right now in Arizona, and the perfect fit if they hadn't renewed an older, inferior Palmer.
  19. To be honest this has some potential to be good for Jay. If Clausen gets obliterated these last two games, a possible if not probable outcome, it'll likely take a bit of heat off Cutler going into the offseason. I'm not sure it was doing him any good to get hanged week after week for the team's ineptitude. Let them all see that the Bears are exactly the same heap of [expletive] without him. On a side note, [expletive] you Trestman for preventing our first 4,000 yard passer in team history.
  20. I think this is the part where Sneaky comes in with a bunch of metrics showing how Cutler isn't close to Stafford.
  21. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/12040968/chris-conte-chicago-bears-says-playing-nfl-worth-long-term-health-risk Lol
  22. Cutler would flourish in Arizona or Cleveland.
  23. Problem is there isn't anyone in this organization who can do a firing, who doesn't also need to be fired themselves. I seriously can't think of one person, from top to bottom, who should stay. Good news is we're going to lose these last two and pick solidly in the Top 10. I can't believe how fast Trestman's ship sank.
