  1. Heilman might be the most predictable pitcher I've ever seen.
  2. Hate only being able to use Guzman for one inning. We better score here because Heilman is probably next and that means game over.
  3. How are we ever supposed to win a world series with that kind of luck on our side?
  4. If we're going to lose I'd prefer the Phillies score this inning so we don't have to sit through a walk-off.
  5. That Garrett Jones guy for Pittsburgh is pretty good. Already eight homers in 62 ABs. How much longer until they trade him?
  6. Do you guys really want to see Fox play an entire game as catcher? I mean don't get me wrong his bat is awesome, but if I recall our record is pretty good with Hill behind the plate. He can't really hit, but he normally calls a good game. Stopping the Phillies' offense should be the #1 priority in this series.
  7. I wish we'd just lose 15 in a row so I could forget about this season. This playing bad, reeling you back in with a few wins, then sucking again crap has gone on long enough.
  8. Thats good to know, of course anyone who runs into the Phillies or Dodgers with Halladay in October wont have a lot of fun. No need to have playoff baseball if the Dodgers get him. Then again I was also sure the Cubs would roll through last year's playoffs. :D
  9. At this point I actually think our best offseason move was acquiring Kevin Gregg. :? What even happened to Jose Ceda? I can't find any stats from him for 2009.
  10. I assume this is our plan B if the B.J. Ryan signing doesn't work out.
  11. Getting to see Blanton instead of Hamels is probably a good thing, although Blanton seems like a guy who we'd have trouble hitting. As long as we don't get swept I'll consider this a successful road trip.
  12. The road Cubs of May and June would not have swept all four games. I don't think anything should be taken away from this series. Its not like were throwing our A lineup out there. Heck, not one person who pitched today was on the big league club to start the season.
  13. Brewers lose. Alone in second place now. Hopefully DBacks can come back late.
  14. It would probably be a good idea to win tomorrow with us going to Philly for three games where we never seem to play well. Although I'd give us a slight edge in the pitching matchups for that series... Ted Lilly (9-6, 3.18) vs. Rodrigo Lopez (1-0, 3.18) Rich Harden (6-6, 5.06) vs. Jamie Moyer (9-6, 5.58) Carlos Zambrano (6-4, 3.36) vs. Cole Hamels (5-5, 4.72) I remember us lighting up Lopez when he was with Colorado in 2007. Moyer has had a pretty bad year, how does he have nine wins with a 5.58 ERA? Hamels owns us but has also struggled this year. It will also be nice to see Bradley bat right-handed for two of those three games. I kinda wish he'd give up on the whole switch-hitting thing.
  15. Wow thought that was gone. Not the end of the world. Get Dunn here please.
  16. We got out of a one-out bases-loaded jam last inning, pretty sure we don't get as lucky this time.
  17. That definitely takes the sting out of stranding Kosuke at third with no outs. No idea how the Nationals didn't score there.
