  1. This isn't on LeBron. If Boston's big three played like they had fresh legs, this series wouldn't really be close. If all of those guys are somehow healthy, I honestly think the Celtics are the best team in the league. Besides LBJ, there's not another position on the court where the Cavs are better than Boston. So, you're saying if you could put them in a time machine then it wouldn't be close? Ok, well let the Cavs do the same with Shaq and it's an easy sweep. Shaq is much further from his prime than KG, Allen, and Pierce are. He hasn't been the same since he left the Lakers. The Celtics meanwhile won a title less than two years ago.
  2. Would like to see a bit more power from Jackson, but other than that he seems to be well on his way.
  3. The Thunder have an extremely bright future ahead of them. They have a center piece, they just need to fill out the rest of their team. They're basically where the Magic were a few years ago when they were in the process of building a team around Howard. With the Lakers, Mavs, Suns, and Spurs all starting to get old, they could become the new force in the West if they play their cards right. I wonder if the Portland GM gets any sleep at night knowing what he could have had. Roy and Durant on the same team? Yikes.
  4. Soriano has handled Chicago as well as as anyone ever has. He takes his lumps and still goes out with a great demeanor. Interacts with the left field bleachers on the same day he is boo'd back to the bench. I'm sure that going home to a pile of money and naked women helps, but the guy "gets it". Agreed 100%. He seems to be nothing but a positive in the clubhouse and with fan interaction. I've heard from quite a few people that he is the friendliest Cub to meet in person, which makes what he has to often put up with from the fans that much worse.
  5. Someone needs to remind the Bucks that halftime has ended. This is horrible.
  6. Thanks for catching that. Yeah, sadly Ramirez' slump is getting to the point where its going to be tough to achieve his usual statline. Not worried about Lee at all. I just hope Lou is patient enough to wait it out and not do something stupid like give Nady and Tracy a bunch of starts at 1B/3B.
  7. We have to have the best OPSing outfield in the majors thus far: Fukudome: 1.084 Colvin: .965 Byrd: .950 Soriano .900
  8. Lol the red dot for Byrd's homer was practically off the page on Gameday.
  9. I don't know who pitched that inning but there is no way that was Grabow.
  10. Yeah we're going to need more than 6 today.
  11. Colvin sac fly with bases loaded followed by a Soriano 3-run homer. 6-4 Cubs.
  12. I don't see how the Pirates and Reds are easier opponents than the Nationals and D-Backs. Good teams should not lose four in a row at home. Ever. That's because we're not a good team.
  13. Someone please start a petition to play all of our home games at Miller Park.
  14. Go Bucks! Getting to play them without Bogut would be too good to be true, unless you're the Atlanta Hawks of course.
  15. The O-Line was much better last year after Pace was benched. I could be wrong but I think the Bears announced Omiyale would be moving to RT, but I'm not sure if that means he will be starting over Schaffer, who I thought looked good in the games he played last year. We have decent depth at tackle but not so much at guard. If one of Beekman/Garza go down, they might have to move Omiyale back to guard if he indeed starts at RT. Overall I think it will be an average unit. I love the Chris Harris trade assuming its for Williams straight up with no picks involved. Harris had EIGHT forced fumbles for Carolina in 2007
  16. How does Livan Hernandez have 48 career complete games?
  17. I know this game isn't over, but it would be nice to be above .500 for once. I'm pretty sure we're 0-3 or 0-4 in games in which a win would put us over.
  18. If the point is "who cares?", then why are we still talking about it? It took me about 15 seconds to type that post. I never said wins were meaningful. Bad defense can skew a pitcher's ERA but nobody mentioned anything about that.
  19. Wow lol. Projecting wins is hard but not impossible. I suppose I should have given a wider window. I'll say 12-16 wins. Better? :-)
