  1. Ian Stewart doesn't have crappy luck, he's just a crappy baseball player.
  2. Career set-up guy at best. I don't see him as a legit closer either.
  3. Theo's plan better be a good one, because I don't even know who's going to command anything in a trade outside Dempster. This team is beyond bad and it's going to take while to get it better considering Theo's vision. I like him and all, but this team might be worse than ever imagined. This is 1997 bad and only the starting pitching is keeping them from being worse.
  4. This has to be the worst offense in baseball. I thought the Twins were bad but they can at least score sometimes.
  5. Lots of pressure on the catcher. Dolis is all over the place.
  6. Looks like Dolis has a case of the Marmol's.
  7. That 97 Cubs team was never above .500 ever during the season. Zambrano was signed that year as a amateur free agent.
  8. The Phillies have the modern day era record with 23 in 1961.
  9. That might be all that the Pirates need to win. :-k
  10. I'm thinking Ian Stewart needs to be DFA'ed. He's terrible.
  11. Wood is done messing around now. :-$
  12. It's a shame that Josh Vitters isn't playing well because I'm already sick of Ian Stewart. I'm with the others that I only want Rizzo up if he's going to stay. Soriano needs to sit IMO and let LaHair play some left.
  13. Were does this team stack up among some of the Cubs worse offensive units in the last 20 years? LaHair is the only power source for this team and he and Castro are the main offensive guys. The problem is Castro doesn't hit for power and won't take walks. Soriano stinks, the catching situation is a mess, and Stewart is a bust so far.
  14. Jeff Baker and Reed Johnson are vets the Cubs could easily not miss. The only problem is there isn't much in the minors to replace them right now.
  15. Free Dave Otto. 8-)
  16. The alternative is Castillo or Wood, and the beat guys aren't even sure if Wood is available. You kinda have to try and get a second inning from Dolis. I just don't want him to hurt himself. He did something last inning.
  17. Well the Cubs are conceding this one by rolling Dolis out there again.
  18. Where is Joe Borowski when you need him.
  19. Thanks for the comment. :good:
