Marmol is broken and can't be fixed.

Sveum needs to figure out how to manage a bullpen or he needs to go. End of story.

Anyone have a link or a source to check out in reguards to scouting reports on minor league prospects? I'm mainly looking for what type of pitches guys throw, ETA to the majors, and compairisons to current MLB players. Cubs Hub used to have good scouting reports a few years back but doen't seem to provide much anymore. Thanks in advance.

So? Have you seen the rosters he's worked with? His management of the bullpen is as bad as Dusty's management of the starting rotation. Sveum is a moron when it comes to that.

Why? Most of these are established players. Is that any excuse for how poorly this team has played? The offense is toothless, there is no plate discipline, guys are making stupid errors, and the bullpen has been mismanaged. Plus you have roster moves like allowing Shawn Camp and Carlos Marmol to toil on the team. If anything, when established players under perform, it says a lot about a manager and his staff. The jury is very much out if Svuem is the right guy for the job. I don't care how bad the team was last year, he's got a terrible record this season as well.

FYI...Sveum is currently 79-128 as the manager of the Cubs.

At some point, you simply have to look at the coaching staff and ask why this team is as bad as they are.

Granted the bullpen is pretty bad, but so has Sveum's management of it.

I'm all for bringing up Brian Bogusevic and replacing Scott Hairston with him. Hairston has been a disaster this season.

They fixed that when they fired the hitting coach last season. Wait a sec...... #-o

This offense is downright offensive.

Was impressed by Garza tonight. He looked pretty darn good. Poop on the offense and the bullpen.

He's been terrible at managing the bullpen. My only read gripe with him. Camp and Rondon shouldn't be on this team, and the same could be said for Marmol. They are are disasters. There's no good way to use a bullpen with one good pitcher. Gregg and Russell are very good. It's on Sveum that he won't let go of the bad pen guys. Sending Bowden down was a stupid move.

Camp can go f*ck himself. DFA this clown and bring up Blake Parker. He can't be worse.

Plus the offense had a really slow start. The amount of men left on base and in scoring position that didn't cross home plate really hurt. That being said, this club is playing much better baseball right now.
