    (a) chris perez is better than the names you listed. (b) i like how your PTBNL is just a five-letter asset that apparently does not differ from one team to another. Screw that noise, Chris Perez is not better than Ascanio. This is a good deal for the Cards, it sucks that it gives them another decent hitter. Can't say I'm too upset from the "where were you Hendry?" angle though. Like was mentioned before, the only place they can really make any changes is at 2B, and I don't think Fontenot and DeRosa will be too different on an offense+defense basis going forward. If they traded for somebody like Clint Barmes(although I've been pushing for him since the offseason), I wouldn't complain though. wha?

    meh...not too terribly excited about sherrill, but i guess he is an upgrade what arms do you think are being floated around right now? it seems like a weak market at the moment
