  1. I like how I hear people in the crowd screaming "JULIA!!!" when Werth is batting. A little googling tells me that Julia is his wife's name.
  2. With 2 strikes and 2 outs I think it's a decent gamble. Bryant isn't slow, Zobrist is high contact, with that count you're likely to get an off speed pitch and Zobrist is less likely to get an XBH. Alright, makes sense.
  3. Wait a second... Rizzo just bunted for a hit?!? IT'S A SIGN
  4. Oh man. I wanna make that error sting so bad. I want Daniel Murphy to toss and turn all night tonight thinking about how bad he fucked up.
  5. Baez woulda turned that DP and we'd be out of the inning.
  6. Considering we're only talking about an additional 3 wins, you could say that about a lot of guys. Castro, etc. 3 wins is actually a ton to attribute to one player's half season, but yeah Well, okay. Point taken.

  8. In all seriousness... I was pretty drunk when I made the post about Edmonds last night, and it's only loosely related to what we're talking about. Not totally sure what my point was. I was drinking the cheap stuff, Bacardi, so I didn't quite have that Grey Goose level of clarity. Of course I wouldn't be in favor of signing a clearly declining player to a massive deal. When Fielder was a FA, I didn't want anything to do with him. I actually haven't paid much attention to McCutchen's defense the past few years, so if there's been a big decline, that's certainly notable. I am, however, an oracle. I assume the only reason I haven't heard from any MLB executives so far is that they just simply don't have my number.
  9. I just want to go on record, once again, as being one of the only people on the, "HOLY horsefeathers! GO GET JIM EDMONDS!" bandwagon after the Padres dumped him. I was also possibly the only person on this entire forum that wanted to re-sign him after 2008 (to a minimum deal, of course). The guy then took a year off baseball and came back in 2010 and OPS'd .846.
  10. I like the way you think. Sometimes.
  11. Oh, man. Thank you. I'm drunk right now and I was totally braced for someone to be talking horsefeathers again. So, to instead be presented with genuine humor is a nice treat.
