  1. Maybe Heyward is actually a pitcher and we just screwed up really bad.
  2. I'm pretty sure we didn't have a 10 game streak in 08. IIRC, the best we did was about 8 or so, but I think we did it multiple times. That's purely from memory, so don't shoot me if I'm wrong. Unless you were planning to shoot me anyway.
  3. But... but... run differential... and wins record... and... and...
  4. There is no way this is true. What? Madison, Milwaukee, Detroit, Iowa City, and Gary are certainly cities where you can find a good pizza.
  5. Just to be clear, I was talking about the whole region, not just the city of Chicago. I know the rest of IL, WI, MI, IN, and IA all have decent pizza, too. The majority of the country, though, is pretty remote. If you don't live within a reasonable distance of a metro area, your pizza options are going to be pretty weak. if you don't live within a reasonable distance of a metro area, you're not going to have a Papa Johns or Dominos I like how you guys are so enthusiastic about picking my posts apart, but that's not true, sir.
  6. In Chicago, out standards for pizza are a little bit high. In most of the country, Papa Johns and Domino's is all they have. How sad is that? If a town is big enough for a Papa Johns or a Domino's, they have some kind of mom and pop pizza in town that's better. I'm quite familiar with plenty of podunk central Illinois towns and their pizza availability. Just to be clear, I was talking about the whole region, not just the city of Chicago. 7. Yes. discount pappa johns pizza is more of a punishment than a reward. also, that one guy hit one off the cubs yesterday, so today is discount day. In Chicago, out standards for pizza are a little bit high. In most of the country, Papa Johns and Domino's is all they have. How sad is that?
  8. Can it be a grand slam from any player on any team?
  9. Okay, after seeing the replay, I think he did.
  10. Oh, horsefeathers. I thought the game started at 1:05 but that was eastern time.
  11. Did you hear the guy in the crowd yell, "JABARI PARKER!"?
  12. *sigh* Caps-Pens it is... http://www.streamendous.com/channel107.php That one works.
  13. Yep, that's right, you should make sure to sleep on it for a whole night. You don't want to literally jump on an airplane the first second that the thought pops into your head. That would be impulsive. Give it a solid 18 hours.
  14. Just the 98 Yanks. The 2011 Rangers made it, but lost to the Cards.
