Yeah, all trade talk regarding Javy (and frankly, all the young bats) always seemed like nonsense to me. It never made sense to trade him for some stupid pitcher. I've been a huge fan since he started to make changes in 2015. And I've been willing to look past all his warts. But, I never really expected a huge breakout. And that was OK, because he was perfectly competent already, and there was some hidden value with his tagging ability and whatnot, playing with a bunch of other guys who could get on base in his stead.

And then Soler did the same thing a couple weeks later. At the time, I think there were only 3 guys in MLB history that had hit 3 homers in their first 3 games -- and 2 were Cubs called up in the same month. But I think Trevor Story hit 4 in his first 3 games to break the record.
