  1. I'm glad you [expletive] get to enjoy the Cardinals blowing it. This Brewers-hating dude is not enjoying things as much these days.
  2. I don't believe any of this, but trying to be positive for a second. Is there any real chance of the Brewers losing to the Cardinals tomorrow and losing once to the Tigers?
  3. I did see Duker was on the board today. Is there a chance he's really hiding out from this place?
  4. I do have to say I'm somewhat surprised how non-competitive the Cubs are in the final week while playing a team that is out of the race.
  5. Not saying you are wrong, but that seems off. You sure it's that high?
  6. I've missed a few fun ones the past week, but not watching and just being on the board has really been way better. I can watch Netlfix and still keep updated, but I don't have to watch such boring TV.
  7. Oh, man, that just means we are going to be playing a desperate team that needs to pull out all the stops against us.
  8. Wait. Are you saying we are only down a run? I figured we were down by three or four, at least. no. i was saying score 2 to make it 2-5 going into the 6th and somehow score another 4 between innings 6-9 to win 6-5 either way archer is god-mode now or cubs just suck that bad or prob both so whatever that was a fun experiment while it lasted i'm an idiot Ohhhh, gotcha. To be fair to you, I specifically remember you being a God at this last season, correctly calling comeback wins, etc. So, it's not your fault. You can only do your part. The Cubs simply aren't doing their part.
  9. The one way the Cubs can win the division would be for the Cardinals to win tomorrow and the Cubs to win tomorrow. I actually don't see either of those things happening, but if they did, I could see the Cubs winning the division.
  10. I'd agree with that. I thought whichever team won the division that guy should get it.
  11. Wait. Are you saying we are only down a run? I figured we were down by three or four, at least.
  12. Man, I feel like this is the first time in the last three years when people are legit knowing we are losing the division and it's not a doom boner. I hate this. horsefeathers, I think even Cubswin11 thinks it's over.
  13. It's not so bad if you don't have one going into the last week but do after the last day.
  14. How cool would it be to beat the Cardinals in the Wild Card and then the Brewers in the NLDS? It's the one way that would make me go into the offseason really happy.
  15. You were one of the four in my quick poll last week that had the Cubs winning the division. Still? Or no? If it’s 0.5 after tonight I lean towards no just because of the schedules. If it’s 1.5 I think we at least tie. If it’s 2.5 then yes we win the division. If it's 2.5 after tonight I will run down the block naked. There will be no proof. You will just have to take my word for it.
  16. You were one of the four in my quick poll last week that had the Cubs winning the division. Still? Or no?
  17. You've written this a few times the past week or so. I think this is when you get crazy. There is no reason why we might as well miss the playoffs. Make the playoffs. And this is coming from a guy who is 100 percent ready for the season to be over.
  18. They really didn’t have a chance short of getting crazy hot like they did. We were at 70%+ at the division for a good amount of time now (think we even hit over 90% at one point). They aren’t the better team and I’ll die on that hill, let them have this year I guess. They still suck and are nothing to worry about long term. I don't think they are better when we have our healthy version. I do think they are better than the team we have now.
  19. You'd also rather be a Wild Card team than the Division winner based on you cheering for the Brewers right now, so horsefeathers your opinion and horsefeathers the Bulls. If the Cubs aren't going to win, who gives a horsefeathers. Well, we could have won the division had the Cardinals won some games against the Brewers.
  20. I think the blinking and squinting is just a thing he does to make sure his eyes are opened as much as possible before a pitch, it might even be a subconscious/routine thing st this point. I remember a coach telling the team to do something similar in between pitches when I played to make sure “your eyes were open before a pitch.” It sounds dumb but I get the theory. I think that's like how Nick Swisher looked up into the sky before every pitch or something.
  21. horsefeathers, this is my biggest fear. No longer when Tim calls us Ninnies will it matter. No longer when Duke makes fun of us for doubting will it matter. This is like when we won the World Series in 2016. Once I realize the elites and the best of the best can be wrong in a big way, well, that really sucks as much as Addison Russell.
  22. I'm sure I'm wrong, but I sort of feel Duker knows this team is dying and isn't winning the division, too. oh he does and he doesn't want to face the music I always am cautious something might be going on in a person's personal life and that's why they aren't posting, so I don't want to come down too hard on him. I feel like Duker is a stand up guy and will face the music when the time comes. It's not a time I look forward to, as it means he was wrong about our club.
