  1. Well, I didn't see that coming. Like, maybe a promotion or something. But just a lateral move to a team in the same division with a similar payroll is sort of interesting, no?
  2. I forget. Does free agency start 10 days after the World Series?
  3. It horsefeathering drives me up the wall that people actually use the term fake news, and also don't horsefeathering understand what it even horsefeathering means. Sorry. Continue everyone.
  4. I remain convinced in my own mind that if the Cubs land Harper, his first opt out will indeed be the KB free agent year. If he is coming here in part because of KB, he very well might want the option to be free if his best friend should sign elsewhere.
  5. Plus, the Cubs have been really good at giving opt outs and somehow convincing players not to use them.
  6. Is it odd that during the Puig home run, a situation where it's two outs and guys on second and third in a 2-1 game in Game 7 of the NLCS, and all the Brewers fans behind home plate are just sitting on their asses? I don't think fans in baseball matter one bit, but like..........why isn't everybody standing up and cheering?
  7. I'm just more trying to make sense of how. I can't believe they are shutting down all of these offenses with some of the pitchers they are using and how much they are using everybody. Like, why can't the Dodgers score five runs in an inning just once or something? They have a hell of a pitching coach. Where did he come from? Oh yeah, the Cubs... Yeah, I've been thinking about that recently. Johnson must be off the charts amazing.
  8. I'm just more trying to make sense of how. I can't believe they are shutting down all of these offenses with some of the pitchers they are using and how much they are using everybody. Like, why can't the Dodgers score five runs in an inning just once or something?
  9. Doesn't matter in the end as the winner of this series should be out in 5 games tops in the WS. Brewers will go back to being a 85 win team again next year. All will be right again I'm not confident enough in your decision-making right now to feel good about this prediction. I think you had the Dodgers winning in 5.
  10. I remember thinking the Brewers were doomed for not signing Alex Cobb.
  11. I guess Brewers pitching breaks everybody's offense.
  12. For two reasons 1. It's my biggest fear, so it leaves me extra paranoid, which is saying something. 2. The Brewers never lose games.
  13. The Brewers are going to horsefeathering win the World Series, aren't they?
  14. Find out who Bryce Harper likes. Hire that person.
  15. That wouldn't even get one of Trout's limbs.
  16. The Cubs suck even worse than the Rockies, so not really. The Cubs won 5 more games in a tougher division. They don’t suck. Please, just let me vent.
  17. seems like a pretty silly complaint considering the rockies eliminated us 3 days ago The Cubs suck even worse than the Rockies, so not really.
  18. The 2016 Giants and 2015 Cardinals were both pretty weak. The 2016 Giants had some ace pitchers, though. Which in a short series can cause stress.
  19. I sit here wondering why the last few years we didn't have a team like the Rockies to play in the divisional round. The teams we played caused far more stress and had far more talent.
  20. I’d rather leadoff Harper and land a cleanup hitter for behind Bryant and Rizzo. Harper and Machado it is, then.
  21. We have one. He had the biggest go-ahead hit in Cubs history. I'm thinking more a guy who will be able to play three straight games next season and someone with Dexter-like speed, at least.
  22. Not to go all Jim Hendry, but our offense was at its best and coolest when Dexter was our leadoff hitter. I'd like to find a cool leadoff hitter and also sign Harper.
  23. I'm confident Passan isn't making it up, and confident it's not Lester. I'm confident that I don't give a flying poo if the guy was checking out Billy Williams and his grandkids as Baez was tying the game. It does not matter. It matters only if it matters to his teammates. If they don't care, then I don't care. If they do care, well, then it matters.
