  1. well they sure horsefeathering suck at running the bases so dongs are their best bet That's true. I think that's why I'm longing for a more diverse offense in which we get a few guys with speed who can make horsefeathers happen with stolen bases, even though I realize that's 1980s baseball and can't happen anymore. Rickey Henderson isn't walking through that door.
  2. Hope nobody gets mad at me for writing this, but I don't think an only-dong offense is very fun.
  3. I think Monty could walk a guy in because he's not elite or anything, but I never worry about him melting down in these games or situations because the moment is too big.
  4. I feel there is a 75 percent chance Adbert gets beat up pretty bad against the Braves. Yet, I'm hoping I can look back in a few hours and see it was the 25 percent that won out.
  5. Nice win on DeGrom Day. Also want to apologize to Schwarbs. I was somewhat being a message board bully toward him today, which is not cool. Plus, the Brewers were coined the "Vaunted Brewers" because of my meltdown about them for the entire 2017 season. So, I have no room to talk. Sorry again, Schwarbs.
  6. Then, not to steal a possible line from you, but this is the biggest game of the season right here. A must-win. Have to have it. I get it, I’m a reactive idiot. Congrats on your ability to stay level headed. Like a baseball player, you can try to improve instead of just giving up and being a reactive idiot.
  7. I have to admit, I just assumed strikeout when it got to 0-2. Just bury four straight in the dirt and he likely misses one of them. I liked reality better.
  8. Any update to this week's status? And can it change with a bad ninth inning? Yep. A win = sweep the Braves Blown save = swept by Braves Thanks for asking Then, not to steal a possible line from you, but this is the biggest game of the season right here. A must-win. Have to have it.
  9. Sorry you didn’t get your double Thank you.

  11. Happy for Big Slick that, I assume, one of the few Cubs he actively doesn't root to fail just came up big!
  12. I need Javy to not pull the ball softly to shortstop and then have to beat out a double play. I want him to hit a solid, solid double. Anywhere on the field is fine.
  13. I want the Cubs to trade for Jarrod Dyson.
  14. I like the thought process. Just didn't work out.
  15. Random post, but I want to see Javy attempt to steal second.
  16. I guess if you keep saying this type of horsefeathers all the time, you might be right eventually.
  17. You’ve been on this board a decade and you’re just now realizing this? It's an excellent and fair counterpoint. But I swear I've never noticed it this bad before, but maybe I did so much complaining in the past that I didn't even realize it. Just in the past few weeks, we've had: This is the worst loss of the year. This is a bad, bad loss. The season is over. (I might be making this one up or exaggerating, but I don't think so) We have to win the last two games against Colorado or we will be several games out of first place by Monday. He must just really treat every game like it's the NFL and there are only 16 of them.
  18. If somebody has time, can they explain the reasons why everyone is so frustrated and/or mad about today's game? Like, what were the moves? Did we blow some great situations late? Didn't see the game. Also, Schwarbs seems like a good kid on here. But it feels like he go over the top all the time with his statements.
  19. Because they only have him for three months, so they need to rush it.
  20. Question: I understand the whole "don't wear Willy down," but this seems to be going further than that since Vic returned. I always just thought Willson would play four straight, and then sit when Darvish pitches. Basically, is this being done to not wear him down or because they think Vic is legit and should play a good amount? I don't mind, either way. Just asking.
  21. I don't even know who Robel Gracia is, but agreed.
  22. Pimped the horsefeathers out of it, too. Always the best revenge. Is it me or did he stare at the pitcher for a bit before dropping the bat to start his HR trot? It was not just you. It was awesome.
