  1. To be fair, there is a good chance this inning doesn't play out the same way without such a big cushion. Dude likely was pitching way different than he would have been.
  2. Eh, it's not often you bring in your closer not tied or up. Chances are you are losing any way, so no reason to burn him for when the advantage is more in your favor. Just my opinion, of course.
  3. Well, a bunch of the present 2016 Cubs couldn't even make the 2016 team.
  4. So now we are definitely getting four runs in the ninth.
  5. I feel like the Cubs really have to figure out a way to score runs when not hitting homers.
  6. Schwarber perhaps changed the entire inning. He needs to be better than that.
  7. Sit Javy? Javy doesn't need no stinking rest.
  8. Again, I would like to see J-Hey attempt to steal a base and perhaps get lucky and score a run.
  9. Lead off hit in a one-run game. I'm not sure this will work out. Hoping. But not very sure.
  10. I would like three Ben Zobrist-types added to it.
  11. For some reason, I actually don't think it's that unreal. Q needed to ground into a DP. As soon as he K'd, it was over. Schwarber is like the least ground ball hitter in the lineup, a K there was way more likely from him. Everyone hits grounders against Castillo, though. And he's not real fast. So the chances went way up.
  12. For some reason, I actually don't think it's that unreal. Q needed to ground into a DP. As soon as he K'd, it was over.
  13. "Castillo somehow works out of it." - Len Somehow? It's not that difficult.
  14. Damn it. That was our chance to score a run.
  15. If Q can ground into a double play that scores a run, I will take it.
  16. The inability to score runs when not hitting dongs is annoying as horsefeathers to me.
  17. So did CarGo get released or did he get hurt in the game? Hearing about hugs and handshakes. Sorry if this was covered already.
  18. After Vic actually turned away from a pitch down the middle, I sort of knew he was all but K'd at that point.
  19. It was a good thing Rizzo worked a nice at-bat, or that would have been a real quick inning.
  20. The Cubs don't play a real clean style of ball.
  21. JD thinks the big opportunity was bases loaded and one out with the pitcher up in the 2nd inning. I tend to think it was guys on first and second with nobody out and Bryant and Rizzo coming up in the 8th.
