The best part is Heyward was only signed to be a complimentary piece on offense. His slow start wouldn't be quite as frustrating for people if the big guys weren't almost as cold as him. In the meantime, J-Hey still finds a way to have a winning impact almost every game.

Are the people watching the Cubs and Cards who don't want to watch those at bats going to change the channel? Bingo. The network doesn't have to worry about keeping the Cubs and Cards fans watching. They are trying to keep general baseball fans tuning in.

This is the ideal lineup from 1-8. And six of the eight guys are hitting .231 or worse. Thankfully, that won't last.

I think the Cubs approach at the plate doesn't work as well when pitchers are not nibbling. I think your anecdotal evidence is more than likely wrong and you will see this Cubs team dong many teams to death when they keep pounding the strikezone. That will be the hope, G-money. That will be the hope.
