  1. I am on delay, and didn't want to see, but this post right here relaxed me so much since Lester had yet to throw the pitch. it was worth the spoiler.
  2. I know people have said this for a while and yet it doesn't happen, but the Lester thing is really going to provide an ugly scene during some big game at some point.
  3. That one poster who was disappointed that the Cubs were making games boring by the later innings will at least be happy.
  4. Jimmy Nelson can actually be pretty damn nasty at times. Would not surprise me if he shut down the Cubs, especially in this weather. Hope you can bump this later tonight and mock this post.
  5. I must be pretty damn good for you to boo. all in good fun, disco. at the very least, we both agree that we enjoy seeing the cubs score runs. so we will always have that. Hahaha. Yeah, I knew you were just poking fun at me. I was just trying do my best J-Hey impression regarding booing.
  6. Outs suck but if guys are safe on bunts I can find that fun. I just love execution. And when the two bunts were made by two shitty hitters that probably would have made outs, it's cool. Don't get me wrong. I don't want Bryant bunting.
  7. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/BooThisMan.gif I must be pretty damn good for you to boo.
  8. I know y'all love dongs. I love dongs, too. But I love this kind of baseball as much, if not more, than a big dong.
  9. If it was at Wrigley, the crowd would have made you believe it was going out by 445 feet.
  10. I think y'all need to just ask these guys for a double. Too many dong requests.
  11. I'm just waiting for the one moron to say, "How DARE they be laughing and having fun when they are losing 4-1."
  12. I hate trying to edit something but then posting it again. horsefeathers me.
  13. He hit 14 homers the next year in 100 games with a .349 OBP. The next two years his OBP was .351 and .359. Even in the 27 HR season his OBP was .335 & his OPS was a decent amount higher than his less powerful/higher obp seasons of the last 2 years. note the drastic reduction in K rate. I never said it was a good or necessary adjustment, but he's clearly a different type of hitter. Correct again. In his first three seasons he struck out like 373 times. In the next three his power went down and he combined to strike out more than 100 fewer times.
  14. I never want Kris Bryant not having a 3-0 green light I hear ya, but down three I'd rather just have two guys on and give up the chance that he hits a dong or a double.
  15. he changed his swing/approach Correct. Dude struck out a lot to get to those 27 homers and his OBP was nowhere near where it has been since he changed.
  16. Seriously, Martinez could not throw three straight strikes. Take your base.
  17. I can handle borderline ones. This guy is calling obvious balls as strikes. It sort of changes the at-bat and is frustrating.
  18. OK, Zobrist, take your walk. No way dude can throw three straight strikes.
  19. I wish (not directed at you) that people would stop asking and/or expecting Heyward to dong. I know we want everyone to dong, but damn it, Heyward doesn't dong more than like Lindor for the Indians does. And I can't imagine everyone is expecting Lindor to dong when he comes up. Right? Right? It's going to happen 12 times this year, probably. Or like 10 more times than our pitchers combine for.
  20. It also isn't like Adam Warren hasn't been good for us. And, the hate will probably turn around when Castro has that two months where he is below replacement level himself.
  21. Addy has looked overmatched tonight. But he can turn that around. I'd be for it.
  22. The best part is the Cards lose no matter what. If it's not overturned, Javy is on first. If it is overturned, he will hit a dong.
  23. After the Schwarbs thing, I'm not emotionally ready to see stuff like that.
