People can totally mock me ..... But this was the biggest win of the year. Or something like that.

Yeah that was a massive nut punch for a struggling team. Especially considering that half of Markakis' home runs for the season came in that game. Imagine how much better we'd feel had we also not given up a three-run dong to a shitty Reds player in the late innings.

In general I agree but that ball was in the infield when he rounded third. Even in little league you're out most of the time on that. Yeah, this. Id have preferred hoping for a wild pitch or Lackey getting lucky.

Lost in the crappiness of the pitching is that this weekend, the Cubs offense has started to get relentless again. Pitchers going 80 in 4 innings kind of stuff.

I believe they've allowed 27 HRs in both June and July. I believe that's right because I saw a stat last night that it was at 27 and 23 and the Pirates hit 4 HR since then That's just so bad.

Great offense and (hopefully temporary) awful pitching will do that. I just wish it didn't have to be so damn quick. It just makes things feel crappy.

I think we have allowed as many dongs in July as we did in all of June. If not, it's like one or two fewer.
