Call me crazy but I still hope he opts out just because I think the last few yrs are gonna be ugly and the defense will be in decline. Also, we could allocate that money somewhere else to someone better (probably). The fascinating thing about his 8-year contract is that it only takes him through his age 33 season. In decline, maybe, but certainly not a guarantee. It for sure doesn't have to be ugly. I want him to opt out too, but only because that means he had a great two seasons. -
Me, too. Especially since anything on the ground was going to be a double play.

Targets on our backs for sure He went with him for two innings against Baltimore as well. Seems like he's willing to have him pitch multiple innings and burn him for the next day.

Why if they weren't holding him on would we not be sending Heyward to stay out of DP?

Our defense has made some great plays this year, but the amount of not so good ones has been noticeable.

The problem with this sarcasm - which I did enjoy - is it's actually true. Imagine when they play the way they are capable and are firing on all cylinders. They can win the 118 Duke is predicting. That's just the baseline, so we can break the record. I actually think we'll win 135. I feel like you're pushing it now. But you are right more than wrong, so......

Be honest. Do you really watch the Reds when they aren't playing the Cubs to know how patient they are against other teams? If you do, bless you.

We are the best team in baseball, but we also have been positively mediocre so far this season. However, we also won a World Series in November. I'll take it.
