You're responding to something that nobody said. I just said I too want them to win the division. Meaning I want them to win the division. But the fact remains that if we can't win a crappy division then it goes down as an embarrassing season considering the talent we have compared to the others. And in that case, why would I feel disappointed? I'd feel annoyed and embarrassed. it was obviously the sentiment of what you said. what is your end game here? Let me make this more clear. I want the Cubs to win the division. If they can win the division with 82 wins, I'll take it. I'll be bored, but I'll take it. If the Cubs don't win the division, they will have been beaten out by a legitimately bad team. Therefore, I won't be sitting there disappointed. I'll be sitting there going, "wow, that's totally embarrassing that we sucked that bad." The only way we lose the division is if we suck. The Cubs hold all the cards. I'm not going to worry about what the other teams do because if we take care of business, it doesn't matter. And if we don't, then screw us.
