  1. Man, we were a Billy Hamilton out away from being down 2-0 going into the B2. That sucks. I still say we should try to score 15 and win.
  2. You never know when that thrown out base runner might end up being huge.
  3. Sort of did look like he tapped out. Which would be much better than an arm injury.
  4. Hopefully it's just a bruised ego and he can make his next start.
  5. The Reds did almost blow a 10-1 lead after like five innings to the Brewers last week. So maybe there is hope. But potentially going .500 against the Reds this week isn't that exciting for me.
  6. If we don't score here I'm going to kick myself in the groin really hard.
  7. Gotta be honest, guys. We really need to win it here. I don't think we get through their middle of the order next inning. I'm also a ninnie.
  8. Addison Russell against the Reds in April and I think Szczur had one too on an error Addison had one against the Brewers, too. Unless that's the one you are talking about.
  9. I'm not surprised. After Rondons inning and seeing the wind blow out things felt a little shaky to me. I didn't think we'd actually blow it but it's not really stunning Going into the seventh inning up 6-1 just felt like a win. Sure after Rondon did his thing it wasn't the same feeling anymore. But I just didn't anticipate it.
  10. Yeah. Even if it's not fair to him, when so much of his value right now is tied up in his defense, you really want to see him do the amazing and really good all the time. It's completely fair. He hits like a backup catcher, so the reason he plays is to catch those. Yeah I was trying to be nice. But that's when they were still up 6-4. Damn it, Heyward. Do your job.
  11. I'm kind of stunned right now. I had booked this as a win and it feels extra awful because of it. I mean, let's still win. It will just feel dirtier.
  12. Yeah. Even if it's not fair to him, when so much of his value right now is tied up in his defense, you really want to see him do the amazing and really good all the time.
  13. Well, that''s very nice. Also, since August 16 the Cubs have scored 100 percent of the time with a runner at third and less than two outs.
