  1. Just a little single here could be big in the overall outcome.
  2. Gotta admit, Wade, I thought you were going to walk him when it got to 3-1.
  3. If it stands, Heyward needs to steal a base here. I believe Montero won't get a reasonably fast guy.
  4. I believe thats 17 runs allowed by the pen in the last 5 games do you actually mean innings? This seems perfect for a Ding Dong stat.
  5. Man, what a difference one pitch can make. Up 5-1 and going to the dugout instead of having to face Donaldson as the tying run.
  6. I love dongs as much as the next guy, but I do enjoy some versatility, where we don't need to flash dongs to still have a healthy day on offense. That's...not the right way to use 'versatility'. A home run is the best possible result of every offensive at bat. It's like playing blackjack and hoping to occasionally get 16s and 17s rather than 21. What I'm trying to say, is that there will be some days when dongs are a lot more difficult to come by. Wind blowing in or facing some dude who doesn't give up dongs or playing in a giant park. I like an offense that can slug, but I also like one that can score a bunch of runs when slugging is made more improbable.

  8. Instead of making fun of him, maybe you should try to talk to him. Take a mentor role.
  9. Not sure why I thought that was a home run right there or why I thought Almora was taking a weird route to it. I'm weird.
  10. Proud of Javy for making contact in a must make contact spot. Nice work, man.
  11. I think this is a fine take to have, but the timing is risky. Lots can change in a 1-0 game over the course of 8 1/2 innings.
  12. I figure fans of the rest of the NL Central are more than happy with it.
  13. I wish we got a half win for coming back. Unfortunatly, it's a full loss.
  14. It appears the Reds are really good at squandering gigantic leads but still winning.
  15. I actually think he's an odd choice almost 100 percent of the time.
