If I’m really bored tomorrow I may go back at least a month and see how many of our runs are off dongs. It’s gotta be 80 percent. Haha. Probably not 80 percent, but it will be a lot of percent.

Nope, you don't get to enjoy this. Go sit in a corner I mean, the chances of the Cubs winning this still aren't great, right? Going to have to hope Kimbrel can get through the top of the order with his possible control issues and then hope the bottom of our order can hit a dong.

Right, and bringing in "MYSTERY MANAGER X" in late August isn't going to magically fix the hitters or the starters or the bullpen I'm not sure there is any freefall to be prevented here. This was a good team against a mediocre team, and it is pretty obvious which one is which. Yeah, getting beat by the Nats doesn't make me that upset. They are just a better team than the Cubs. I get more irritated when we struggle against the Pirates.

This inning isn't yet over as I type. If the Cubs can't dong against their bullpen for two or three innings well then screw them.

I see no reason why we can't get out of this. We are in these situations all the time and almost never score.

How does doing stuff at the plate at times make you smart? Rizzo? ETA: I'm saying they are literally dumb. Gotcha. Still if you think Hendricks is the only player who isn’t dumb I don’t know what to say. Javy does dumb things at the plate but that doesn’t make him a dumb player. I was just trying to be over the top for effect. I for sure agree that not all the 24 other players are dumb. Maybe just like 20.

No. No. Whatever is five levels up from frustrating, that's what it is. That's well beyond frustrating. Everyone on our team is dumb except Kyle Hendricks. Castellanos. Bryant just hit 3 clutch homers in the last week in a half. Rizzo has been playing well. Wick has been great. Clearly the team isn’t perfect but back away from the ledge. How does doing stuff at the plate at times make you smart? Rizzo? ETA: I'm saying they are literally dumb.
