Hey, the Cubs have made plenty of your beloved contact today at least! I'm just excited that we will move past the Brewers for third in percentage of runs scored via the dong after today. Not sure we can get to first by the end of the month, but they sure can try.

I don't even give a horsefeathers about anything but the Brewers not making the playoffs. And because our stupid offense can't score runs without hitting home runs, they are letting them stick around and that makes me mad.

Well, I wouldn't beat yourself up for being annoyed. I mean, we have seen the bullpen/defense do some pretty crappy things and every inning after we were up 10-1 was like being DiCaprio on the Titanic. It's not supposed to be this hard when you are up 10-1 in the fifth, although I suppose this is 2019 baseball.

Have any of you been calm, cool and collected during this game, never doubting for a second that we will win and feeling relaxed the whole time? Because they robbed me of that great feeling, and I resent them for it. Also, it's really, really not cool to say anything bad about the offense on a night when they put up 10 runs because it really shouldn't matter when you score them, but it would have been amazing to add on, like, a run or a two after the third inning to not make this feel like we are just trying to hang on for dear life.

This is true, but I find it insulting that we have to now hope to add a few more runs because our bullpen sucks and the other team is in slam range......by the sixth inning.

Would be shocked if Rizzo plays in this series. Would be shocked if he doesn't play Friday. Also would be shocked if I actually watched any of this series instead of just following on GameDay.

We have to suck it up and cheer for the Brewers at least for 1-2 wins. Which is sickening, I hate the Brewers more than the Cardinals. winning the wild card keeps our playoff streak alive (i care about this), keeps the stupid brewers out of the playoffs, and still puts tons of pressure on the organization in the offseason (failing to win the division in back to back years despite having the best roster is shameful). but mostly i just hate the brewers. i hate the cardinals too, but as long as they don't win the world series, them winning the division doesn't change much in terms of bragging rights. they were never going away anyways. i just can't stand the thought of the fraudulent brewers fluking their way past the cubs this year. I feel so good knowing I'm not alone. Thank you, 17 seconds.

I cannot or will not watch this team if it comes back with all the main pieces in place. People will say to horsefeathers up and enjoy a winning team in playoff contention but I’ve tried and I...just can’t. I enjoyed 2014 way more than this year. Empty threat i know Nah, this is the offseason that horsefeathers is going to change. It's going to come via trades, but whether Theo has gotten dumber or not, there is no more denying that they have to diversify the offense. Keeping the same exact core for a fifth or sixth year won't work, and Theo won't try to fool himself again. ETA: Also, I agree. I find this brand of baseball to be brutal to watch and can't find myself appreciating that they are still a winning team.
