  1. Black 6K/0BB Underwood 8K/0BB niiiiiice. Underwood is quickly becoming one of my favorite pitching prospects. EDIT: And I didn't even realize Underwood doesn't turn 20 for another 9 days. I thought he was a bit older.
  2. He's slightly better than Russell tonight.
  3. Ha! Soler only has 3 singles this year.
  4. That sounds a little less crazy than it did a month ago. Or maybe I'm a little more crazy. He can probably out produce Schierholtz right now. Well yeah, but Darnwin Barney has out produced Schierholtz.
  5. According to twitter, Soler's HR was a super donger to CF.
  6. In AA, Soler has a 2.070 OPS for July and 1.361 on the year. Unfortunately, that's only 11 and 35 ABs.
  7. 1. Soler . . . . 2. Everyone else
  8. Maybe I'm interpreting it unfairly. I could see it either way, but since the question was about right now, that's how I took it.
  9. The Cubs will have plenty of top prospects in the minors this year and next year (especially with a top pick next June), and it's pointless to try to predict where systems will be 2 years from now. And the fact that the majority of the Cubs' top prospects will be up by some point next year isn't a reason to question whether they're the top system right now.
  10. That is amazing. They should have just let him single-handedly destroy the entire Reds roster. Looks like the Cubs are going to need to put a beating on them every 10 years or so.
  11. Is it just me or is Parks saying that the Cubs might not have the best farm system because eventually all their awesome prospects will graduate? http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-insider/2014/07/cubs-prospects-qa-with-baseball-prospectus-jason-parks-cubs-could-field-baseball-porn/ That just seems like the kind of analysis you hear from Joe Buck and Joe Morgan. "If all their best prospects graduate and they don't have new awesome prospects by then, they won't have as many awesome prospects."
  12. Hamilton's injury wasn't serious enough for my liking, but the overall direction of the game is pretty good.
  13. Before we DFA Olt, we're going to need him to give Hamilton a Nancy Kerrigan.
  14. This is by far the least pathetic-look lineup of the year.
  15. Anybody here good at photoshop? I want to make Brennaman think Hamilton is banging his wife and push them into a murder-suicide situation.
  16. The fact that Thom Brennaman hasn't died in a fire makes me question the existence of God.
  17. Please don't let them come back. Every time the Reds do something good their announcers act like they just personally accomplished something and it makes me want to cut myself.
  18. Sounds too much like Al Queda. The rednecks and hicks will hate him. If you sophisticated city folk love al Qaeda so much, how about you go to one of your fancy city colleges and learn how to spell it.
  19. Replace Schierholtz, Lake, Sweeney, Barney, Olt next year with Bryant, Alcantara, Soler, Baez, someone else who doesn't suck, and we might score runs next year. Like, more runs than this year. It's really cool that Ruggiano and Coghlan seem like they belong on a baseball team.
  20. We need to trade all of our excess prospects for Gallo and Stanton and then put everyone at positions that make no sense just to [expletive] with people. 2016 lineup: SS Gallo 1B Russell LF Castro 3B Soler RF Baez CF Rizzo C Stanton 2B Bryant Instead of numbers, all the jerseys will just have lol on the back.
