  1. I think you pretty much hit it. Their lack of developing a top of the rotation arm or two out of all the talent they had has really set them back and is the main reason. Playing in the AL East also doesn't help as you have needed to win 95+ games recently just to compete.
  2. Nice [expletive] policy, Lane. Dick
  3. How many teams are in the league, 16? That team is [expletive] awful, jeeze
  4. One of my buddies wanted to start a keeper league this year. 8 teams, 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 OP(so it's virtually a 2 QB league), 1 K, 1 DST. I think my team could be really solid if my RB stay healthy. Not deep at WR, but between the 4 I have I should at least get slightly above average production. Harvin/Brown have top 10 potential and Floyd could be top 20-25 since he's the only decent WR Rivers has now outside of Gates. T. Brady QB D. McFadden RB F. Jackson RB P. Harvin WR A. Brown WR B. Pettigrew TE D. Murray FLEX M. Ryan OP Bills DST D. Akers K Bench J. Cutler QB J. Freeman QB A. Bradshaw RB R. Bush RB B. Tate RB J. Best RB (Last overall pick, figured he's was worth stashing away in case he comes back healthy at some point) M. Floyd (SD) WR N. Washington WR
  5. Sept. 19, 2010 in a 13-3 win over Florida. http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/FLO/FLO201009190.shtml We threw out the following lineup: Sam Fuld Darwin Barney Jeff Baker Micah Hoffpauir Tyler Colvin Bobby Scales Brad Snyder Wellington Castillo Jeff Samardzija KILL IT WITH FIRE!!
  6. Which is nuts when you consider 25% of our schedule is against Green Bay and Detroit. Yeah, but we get to play some soft divisions. Also, looking at our schedule, 5 of our last 7 games are divisional games....that's really odd scheduling. Is the NFL purposely trying to put more divisional games later? Pretty sure it was last year (or within the last few seasons) they put this in and that was their reasoning. To have more meaningful games late (think it's their best attempt to keep teams from sitting guys weeks 16/17 and keep the races lasting longer) and hopefully have divisions decided in the last few weeks and potential head-to-head matchups of do or die games.
  7. His BABIP is low, .262, but it's only a little bit off his career average of .270. The rest of his % LD, GB, FB, HR/FB are all right in line within his career averages as well with him being now more +/- than 2% off his career average. I don't have a problem with him either as the 24/25th guy on the bench who can back up multiple positions but to expect his numbers to improve a ton next year "due to a ton of bad luck this year" is wrong. He's putting up offensive numbers now that reflect the player he's been all his career. I'm hoping Stewart is brought back for 3B if the surgery he had went well and the FO feels that was potentially a major fix for him moving forward.
  8. I think it's a bad picture. She was on Survivor and I had a crush on her that season. Granted I was about 13 years old, but still. She's not bad looking. Eh, a quick google search of "Kyle Kendrick Wife" and while there are better pictures than the one in the link there are still quite a few where she looks like a dude in drag to me in. To each their own
  9. Why do these guys love to hate Matt Szczur? The hell, it makes no sense for their hate. Szczur clearly looks like a 4th OF type that has a few years over his career where he performs like a everyday #2-3OF.
  10. Roberts or DeRosa's get my vote. Kendrick's wife looks like a [expletive] tranny
  11. Is it weird at we haven't heard anything at all from the organization regarding shutting him down sometime soon, other than guesses by guys in the media? He has to have 2, 3 at most, starts left. This is by far the most innings he's ever logged.
  12. What else was the runner supposed to do? Be tagged out. I really haven't formed an opinion either way on collisions, I've really never thought about the topic. But if you aren't going to allow players to run over catchers at home plate, then catchers shouldn't be allowed to blatatnly block homeplace to the point where the runner doesn't have a choice but to run over the catcher to get to the plate. Exactly. I just don't know how that rule could be enforced. MLB could try to legislate head shots, but even that is difficult because the catcher's positioning may put his head right at shoulder-level.[/quote] Also even if the catcher is in a position to begin with where he's putting himself in immediate danger of getting ran over the throws from the OF often can take them up the line or force them to bend down lower to pick a ball and put them in danger in a matter of seconds, that also is something that comes into play. So is a catcher just supposed to let a bad throw either up the line or in the dirt go by to the backstop so he doesn't get in the way of the runner?
  13. Each MLB team is only allowed one player below AA so that can't be right. I thought I read somewhere that Soler and Baez could both go because Soler was on the 40 man roster. Don't know how accurate the article or blog was. I couldn't find anything agreeing or refuting this so that just might be it. If they are both going to the AFL, does that mean both could start next year in Tenn? Or will both likely start in Daytona?
  14. "just needs to be average" is hardly an easily achieved goal for this group. Above average is probably a bridge too far. The Bears are going to have to make do with a crap line, because a crap line is what they have. That was kind of my point, it's sad that all they need to be is average for this offensive to be explosive and they likely can't/won't achieve that
  15. I think maps like that are incredibly stupid, just like that MLB one that is out there. Basically it's just showing all the major D1 programs cities/states and outlining their boundires until the hit another D1 program's city/state.
  16. The O-line just needs to be average, maybe slightly above, not even good or great for many of those comments to hold true
  17. Voided. You have already used your two second half transactions. Alright, I wasn't sure

  19. I am not well versed on the subject either. Park effects could be in play also maybe Cueto is having a crazy good year fielding and Kershaw/Dickey are exceptionally awful?
  20. Well, he's no woman. If LaRussa was still the manager he'd have his pitchers throwing at the Pirates the rest of the season
  21. I just read that too and apparently they are still willing to take on a large salary. Crazy... MLBTR threw Buehrle's name out today. If Loria gets out of that contract I'll be pissed.

  23. Muskat probably wasn't even sure it was Soriano she was interviewing
  24. The numbers are on the previous page Those are the numbers that Rosenthal reported to which davell was referring. My bad. Nothing to see here then, move along
